if you want a funny read (no offense pool lads) just go look at the TT pool page, 2 threads all about Henderson, both many many many pages long, 1 or 2 against him and the rest for, but the amount of time and effort expended on this one player is unreal! reading some of it im surprised he didnt beat messi to the award and put VVD in 3rd place!

I like Henderson. Cares passionately about the club and you can see what it means to be captain.
Gives it everything. Divides opinion but drives the team on and is part of a very good engine room in there

Mikus, I don’t think they’ll hesitate to give him money if the kind of player he wants is a) available and b) a no-brainer. I’m thinking along the lines of Haaland, Sancho etc, none of which I expect us to get but that kind of player who’d unquestionably improve us

Stevo, there was a thread I started about Henderson before the Hendo-watch one that also went on for 20 odd pages. I foolishly thought an intelligent discussion could emerge from starting such a topic. I was wrong.
But just while we are on the topic, Henderson is not a world class midfielder but is a vital component of a World Class team. And to be that in my option is more important than being supposedly world class.

The majority of the henderson thread is the backlash aimed at a certain poster for outlandish claims about our fair skipper. I don’t doubt that McT is a breath of fresh air at utd at the minute, however I would give him a couple more years of consistency before he can truly be considered as highly average as henderson is. No in all seriousness Henderson is an incredible captain, further highlighted with his involvement in the Gomez/Sterling conflict, which coupled with his footballing ability (which is better than a lot give him credit for), makes him a vital component of our squad and our recent successes.
