Morning all, as most are aware the old TeamTalk forum is shutting down. This forum was mentioned to us by a couple of the lads who moved across a while back. Seems a little bit sleepy but hopefully if a few of us move across to it we’ll drive some more discussion. And we do love a discussion!!! 😉
Most of it is said in jest anyway and USUALLY no offence is meant or caused.

Appreciate the invite to this forum and hopefully the rest of the United lads will follow – otherwise this could be a very lonely thread!!

But obviously Manchester United are coming back to the very top – very soon!! 🙂

Great to see the old Utd TT crew here. This is thedevil from the old TT. The last featured comment in the old TT format was mine. After more than a decade away, I am back posting and just in time. We are finally waking up after years in the wilderness. The good old days are coming back, mark my words. Bryan Mbueno ‘Here We Go’ is just hours away. In my opinion, he was the best player in the PL last season. Exciting times for Utd.

Yeah all good Redblood – well apart from this shambles of a club mate! Not sure i can endure another season like the last one. Normally I have a new season glow of optimism around this time of year, but nothing so far!! 🙂

My new season glow of optimism is always unwavering this time of year. It is always fascinating to follow the silly season and wanting to see the new signings in action. The only difference is the optimism fades away faster and faster each year. Nowadays it only takes a few games into the new season for it to completely disappear, realizing it is the same old shit again.

Yep, agreed Tom! Although apparently after 3 very slow starts by Ten Haag the powers that be have decided we need to start well this season!! Ha ha, Arsenal up first then FFS!!

We don’t tend to start well happy and a loss for us would not be good so not a great draw for us either, still a win for either and we would be far happier

We got a real hard opening 6 games so unless we sign some players and are far stronger than last year we could be in trouble

Yeah i’d take a draw now! We have a nightmare start as well – Arsenal, City and Chelsea in the first 5 games and then Liverpool week 7. Madness! It could all fall apart real quick for Amorim!
Although if he comes through that then maybe it’ll be an alright season who knows.

And i’ve always got the Republic of Ireland to see me though…!

I understand the pessimism among Utd fans. Years of false dawns have made pessimism the default. But this time? It feels different. We are finally replacing whining boys (Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho) with men ready to fight for the badge (Cunha and Mbeumo). But the rebuild must be ruthless. Rashford and Sancho cannot be allowed near a Utd jersey again. For the first time in years, I am not just hoping but expecting a top 4 and a cup at a minimum.

It’s not exactly a rule as such, but if you want a thread to be more of an “exclusive” thread for a specific club, I suggest you put the clubs name in the title so others know to avoid it…

Like, if you want a Manchester United thread all about Manchester United transfers, you would call it “Essex Boys Wankstains Transfer Thread” or something like that… 🙂

Why are we inserting an OPTION to buy and not an OBLIGATION to buy in Rashford’s loan deal with Barcelona?! They are obviously just gonna keep him for one year and then we are back at square one, trying to sell a player that is now a year older and one year closer to the end of his contract, so his value has diminished. We should add the same clause that we had with Sancho and Chelsea. Pay a fine if you don’t buy.
