On the headed chance by eketike, I think he is poor at heading as he recall he has missed quite a few straight forward headers. The community shield is one I recall but also in some other matches. Just food for thought, he is a top player but small things like this need sorting

Mac clad11, I think your first part sums up Slot perfectly. This is as good as it gets. Just as a viewer stand alone, I don’t know what’s worse: VAR or waiting the the last 20+ minutes to play out. Some drama usually takes place which leaves us with a detriment.
For me personally, it’s default him staying there until a replacement is sought. I was starting to cut him slack after the Arsenal match, but it just looked to me he wanted to drag out minutes and continue playing pedestrian football. Ironically for this blueprint, in the second half of the match, we exhibit the complete opposite and lose all tidiness and discipline. Every other player is turning around towards their teammate looking for an answer.
Maybe there’s more stability and hope when we’re involved in Cup competitions. There’s just a constant one thing after another with the odd decent result making a few of us think we’ve turned the corner, and hey-ho, back to square 1.

City ran more then 8km then us in tye game
Liverpool ranks 20th (last) in the league for total distance covered per 90 minutes, high-speed running distance,
Thos walking around and slow play feeds into tye crowd. Klopp worked so hard to get anfield back to being a real nosiey intimidating ground. Thats gone now

That is pretty shocking Sean, and alone should signal to the powers that be that Slot is not the man to take us forward.
Since match day 6 I think we have managed 4 more points than West Ham. We were bad in those first 5 games and lucky we had the points on the table or we’d be rubbing shoulders with Spurs and Leeds just above the relegation spots.

Unconfirmed reports that thr team had some days off midweek prior instead of working hard on the forthcoming city game or much needed fitness and conditioning. Rumours are because Slot wanted another break back home to see his family.
Before anyone gets all high and mighty saying we all need yo see family, this is another reason he’s not right for thr club. He has never embraced the city or the ethos of the club, his family stayed in Holland I think for his children’s education, and he goes back many times. Liverpool needs a man more committed. And then of course there was a mid-season jolly to Ibiza last season…

The scary thing is that Slot keeps saying we are improving, we got so many unwanted records this season, Isak set a 119 year old record becoming the first player to lose all of his starting matches to begin with, we just lost to City for the first time at home in 3 decades. There was another 90 year old record I can´t remember which was but we broke it.
I don´t feel like the lads actually listen to him anymore, we just have to look at how we played those last 30 minutes in our last game. There was no plan at the end, Van Dijk just marshalled everyone into the opposition final third.
Would you listen to your boss if he was always giving you the wrong instructions at the end of the day, would you listen to a boss that allowed you to slack off of in training and messed up every matchday you had? There is less physical work at the training ground and more days off yet we are picking up more injuries than we did under Klopp.

I have to say I lost a lot of respect for Slot when he opted for that party in Ibiza, I think that weekend says it all about him, he took his foot of the pedal and went partying before the season ended. It´s something I would maybe expect from Jack Grealish if injured but not our head coach.

Agree Bingo, but with regards to training and injuries there’s a fine zone to work in. Too much training and you over strain the muscles, too little and your muscles lose strength and endurance so the breaking threshold is lower leading to more injuries.
Klopp knew his heavy metal football was sustainable and so tried to slow it down. I remember some doctor or something having a go in the media about Klopps intensity and I thjnk he was probably right. But Slot takes it to the other extreme, we are unfit and injured because his training is lackadaisical.
Of course this is by far not the only issue. That midfield needs sorting. Vacate the middle or just leave MacAllister there (which pretty much equals vacating the middle anyway) is crazy. Grav is no destroyer at DM but at least he did a reasonable job last season, why Slot instructs him to go forward all the time is beyond me.

yeah Klopp knew about the strains of his football on the lads, he did everything to prepare them for it and for the most part it worked. The truth is that this is a very physical sport, if your body breaks down at this level you just need to take a step down.
I am 100% sure that the lads have started talking about Slot behind his back, venting out there frustration to one and another.

3ps @ 11:40 Nail on the head with the word Commitment. These are my very thoughts. We need somebody without going all cliche`, somebody living and breathing LFC.
He seems like somebody who’s not really prepared to go above and beyond. If the players don’t put in the time in training, then how will that translate on the pitch?
That was a cult in the latter 1990s; players seemingly preferring the lifestyle of partying and drinking. Alex Ferguson had zero tolerance towards that and he came down or got rid of those that had an influence on others.
We dropped off as somebody already has rightly pointed out on here the moment we were pronounced Champions. I don’t object to Holidays and having fun, but at least pick your moment wisely.
There’s players knowingly can perform better but haven’t and the Supporters easily pick up on it. They are there week by week and wise and not blind not to notice changes. It’s down to the hierarchy ultimately to take action and hopefully not bury heads in the sand for too long.

Maccas decline is crazy. He was always tenacious but he lacks any intensity and looks like he cant run. Him trying to cover space you would think he was 37 not 27. I know he had an operation in the summer but he has seriously gone downhill.
We look so unfit. The numbers are there. This slow ponderous rubbish is affecting the crowd. We are losing everything klopp built. Its a fair point about not embracing the city
I understand a few players out of form but 85% of the team are playing terrible. There had to be a commin dominator and its the tactics and manager.
Would love him to improve but just cant see it. We have so many problems. We have conceded 4 losing gosls in injury time. Its equals the worst premier league record ever
He refuses to use subs, most if who are no were near fit due to lack of minutes. One up v city bring endo in take a midfielder off
Two years ago we went to forest with gomez as cdm with clark and macca in midfield and won. Now we have two keepers on the bench. Its fucking ridiculous

sean it´s worse than refusing to use his subs, he refuses to use the squad, he counted 6 rightbacks in this presser. We only have three and he refuses to use the third one. Neither Gakpo or Salah have scored in 10-15 games almost and he refuses to use Rio or Chiesa. Endo is not a bad player either, he can always put in a excellent defensive shift in at midfield but he is another player Slot refuses to use. Robbo another player that Slot refuses to use this season. Elliott was ushered out by him as well because Slot refused to use him. Bobby Clark and the whole team that won the league cup was refused game time and all of them have left.
There are about 8 players in the whole team that Slot counts on and that is it.

So in essence after winning the league with an inherited squad, he’s effectively destroyed or slowly is destroying the entire fabric of the squad.
He will leave and he will leave with a big fat wallet. 400+ blown in the process.

More than half the squad knows they are not getting a game, not even if a injury happens, it can´t be a good workplace!
Nil I don´t believe we have wasted the money spent but we are so unbalanced as a squad and that is the fault of Edwards and Hughes.
They need to rectify the situation in the summer but I want Slot gone by then, there is a big difference between saying we have won 2 league titles in the last 5 years, the champions league, the world club cup etc. and stating that Liverpool have only won the title twice in the last 36 years.
That is a sackable offense in my book.
