Yep, the club should simply make a stance in request of those particular officials to not Ref our games. It’s a complete ruins for us and it’s not as if retrospectively, the result can be altered.

11th November 2025 at 1:44 pm #230567Spot on ginger
Our sway form is progressively getting worse
All well and good turning up for two games under the lights at anfield
Palace, Brentford, newcastke, city sway. Battered in the 1st half. Like we were totally out fought in all those games
We are so soft. 2nd balls and konates away form has been atrocious

11th November 2025 at 3:21 pm #230573Exactly mate. What’s the point in verbally expressing phrases like ‘fight for it’ when they just give in easily to physical battles.
Teams like Wimbledon have had and will have a field day.
I can imagine as being knocked out of the 3rd round of the Fa Cup next Jan

11th November 2025 at 8:25 pm #230586Bernardo Silva isn’t exactly a man mountain Rob.
Neither is Phil Foden.
Nico O’Reilly isn’t some powerhouse. We’ve played against the vast majority of these City players before.
Like I said earlier, you have to battle, particularly away from home, to earn your right to play football.

11th November 2025 at 9:34 pm #230587One worrying aspect I am not sure I’ve read about is Slot’s interviews. He consistently says we’re figured out and that’s why we’re losing. Apart from Villa and Real who played ”as we expected” and then we won. Against Real he admitted with some luck. Now also, he blaimed the tactial setup for the players’ poor performance. This does not turn me into a beleiver.

12th November 2025 at 3:41 am #230592Since everyones “worrying” let me throw a stat.. florian wirtz is joint-top in the Premier League for chances created across all competitions this season, with 21, tied with Jack Grealish.
Not bad for someone who is weak and struggling with the pace and power of the premier league.

12th November 2025 at 12:36 pm #230605Here’s some (stolen) stats:
– City ran 118km as a team on Sunday vs 109.2km for Liverpool. That’s 8.8km more!
– It’s the second highest difference between 2 PL teams this season after City vs Wolves (+9.7km)
– Foden ran 12.76km alone and Bernardo Silva ran 12.73km alone against Liverpool. Only Foden (12.85km vs Everton) and Florentino Luis (12.78km vs Forest) have done better this season!
– City cover more ground than anyone else so far this season: 1268.7km (115.3km per game)
– It’s 5.5km more per game than last season (they were at 109.8km per game)
– Arsenal are second in most km ran this season with 1261.5km (114.7km per game)
– The average distance covered by a team in the PL this season so far is 110.2kmI rmemeber when we were known for out running teams, those distant, exciting times.

12th November 2025 at 12:44 pm #230606Threeps – I’d be very interested to see what Salah’s contributions are to those totals. I have a nagging suspicion that he is responsible for a sizeable wedge of that shortfall. Happy to be proven wrong..

12th November 2025 at 1:14 pm #230607Also Threeps, recalling this from memory, we had 90 more pressures than City.
NINETY.
However our press is completely off more times than not. You can see Szobo is the trigger (when playing the 10). At one point he barracked Grav for not following up his initial press.
As we know one person can’t press alone or he can be easily bypassed. As your stats show we are not working hard enough as a collective.
We’ve conceded the highest percentage of in play goals in the league.

12th November 2025 at 1:22 pm #230608Yup Ginger, the press is always a collective effort. You may have one person initiate it, Hendo was brilliant at that, and I think Szlob is the new man for it, but the others need to contribute.
But, I dont want to sound like a broken record, this comes from the training pitch. Whatever they are doing there regarding the press aint working. One or two games you can accept it, but its nearly every game. Combined with this slow paced tip tappy crap, it’s dreadful going forwards and backwards.
