Was that 4 or 5 dives in the box in total? Kane was offside AND dived. Lamela went down like he’d been shot. he wasn’t even in possession of the ball either. This is a game we could have used VAR in, we’d have 3 points now, not 1.

Thab, Finnish TV very clearly shows Rip Van Diesel boot catching Lamela’s calf, nailed on if you see the angle we have.
Now, the first penalty, could have sworn the rules say if it comes off a defender it’s now onside? If I’m wrong fair enough…
Anyway, wasn’t Salah offside for his second?

Kane want onside as the ball came off a Liverpool player on the way through and I thought Karius caught him. Klopp should have bought Mangala rather than Dick, he has a costly mistake in him every game aswell and would have been alot cheaper ?.

Draw felt like a fair result – spurs were very strong in that second half, and it was too early in the game to be trying to hang on to a 1-0 lead.
Thought we’d nicked it with Mo, but never mind. The second penalty is the sort you’d appeal for and annoyed when it’s against you as it looks soft, but he did catch him. Not seen the TV yet but a draw was fair
Lots in that game though that makes me hate the game sometimes – dives and card waving and cynical professional fouls – all from both sides. Makes me sick.

Refs and linesmen get a lot of stick but replays prove that Moss and Short got both penalty decisions right with great communication between the two of them.

9, agree with you there, however the offside law is no longer a law it’s an opinion.
I thought the first Spurs pen was offside, yes it came off the Pool defender, but I thought it had to be a deliberately played ball, as it the back pass rule. If the keeper had picked it up it wouldn’t have counted as a back pass. The whole offside law needs to be re written so it’s black and white, would make things a whole lot easier.
The best thing though was we saw how the decisions were made, and going by the things both the ref and assistant saw they gave the right decisions based on their view.

Not even sure a draw was fair but maybe as we were better in 1st half but I thought spurs totally dominated the 2nd. We looked dead on our feet. No complaints about either pen. We just can’t defend and there was no chance we would hold on at 1-0 up
We just looked so open. We really should have lost considering spurs missed a pen. So slightly relieved with a point. Poor game management from us. Ox was atrocious when he came on. Taa was excellent for us and a great way to bounce back after his poor game at wba.

I think Liverpool went all out in the first half and were burnt out come the second half. Fortunately for spurs they were much better off the ball than on it. Spurs were always going to come out In the second half and go for it and Liverpool couldn’t handle it. I think a draw overall was fair.

Yes he hits him, that was never in dispute. it’s a contact sport though and Lamela is not in possession. Van Dijk has eyes only for the ball but Lamela has literally thrown himself in there only to dive on contact.
If people want to point out situations where penalties are given for accidental contact off the ball then you’ve got your chance here.
As for Kane’s one. He is offside but he’s also only ever looking to throw himself on the ground. You want to argue that there was contact? There was very minimal contact but he’s only got a lovely penalty in mind. Maybe if he was thinking about trying to stay onside he might have actually scored.
On the whole though, Spurs seems to be the worst con-artists in the league and their fans are just as bad for supporting this kind of behavior.
