Must confess only just seen the highlights properly almost 24 hours after our epic win. That Sadio’s second goal was Lee Sharpe esque re against Barcelona back in 1995.

Made me wonder what it could be like if we could still get hold of Van Dijk. Kieta will be joining us, but one of our biggest challenges is trying to hold on to our best players in Mane, Salah and Coutinho.

Again, reflecting from our achievement so far from this competition, it’s excellent. The group stages can of course be a hard slog especially when in fairness and reality, we’ve barely had any proper spells in this competition for several years.

It breeds a new sense of optimism from my point of view in giving us something to aim for. The reality of it is that there much more superior teams that stand much more of a chance to win the competition, but I would just like us to give it our all and go as far as possible.

The should in essence be applicable towards any competition irrespective of the stakes.

The next game is important for us now, and we have to turn up.

Nil-Superior teams only on paper mate,Barca,Real,and Bayern are not what they used to be,their best players are either too old/past their best or getting there.I really believe that bar PSG-who have a galactico team,the rest are pretty much on the same level! Ignore Basel,Besiktas,and Shakhtar ,and I would not be surprised to see any of other teams lifting the trophy.i.e.Sevilla,Porto,Spurs,Roma,etc!

I don’t think it’s a good idea to write off Barca, Real and Bayern just because they havent set things on fire yet this season. I would have mixed emotions about drawing a top top team in the first KO round. Yes, I want us to beat the big guns in style but I would prefer that we risked this in the quarters+. Yes we can beat anyone on our day but all 3 of those teams would utterly obliterate our defence on their day. We should be aiming to win the CL but with a sense of realism that it most likely won’t happen.
