Ed, there was a big kick back from genuine Chelsea fans against a Saudi consortium during our takeover.

I actually wanted Ratcliffe despite his United ties because he was a football fan.

I hope both United and Liverpool steer clear of the Middle East but as you rightly say there’s little either set of fans can do and despite the fine words you suspect that both sets of owners will probably choose who suits them best.

Yes I remember the Chelsea fans doing the same Nine. Just as they did re the Rickets family too. The likes of what Chelsea ultimately ended up with in Boehly is probably as good as any of us can hope for if we’re being realistic.
