“Weirdly he criticises Isak for having an โegoโ but for Ekitike itโs fine.”
Get your facts right before you make a fool of yourself (again).
I criticised Isak for one thing only, for downing tools at Newcastle, thinking he’s too big for the club.
Ekitike has a big ego and self-belief on the pitch, BIG difference, completely different issues.

3rd January 2026 at 10:02 am #235287“But just a few things recently have irked me a little, like the knob celebration etc. He also seems a little too interested in a showboat move when a simple hold and layoff would have been better. Hearing him arrogantly dismiss every defender in football is a bit of a concern, he should show more respect.”
Keep on being irked then, looks like you’re the only one.
The fans eagerly singing his catchy theme song, certainly don’t mind, and are only going to inspire Ekitike to get better and better.

You criticised Isak for having an ego.
Yet with Ekitike itโs fine.

3rd January 2026 at 10:06 am #235290NO, Wrong again.
I criticised Isak for having a big ego in downing tools at Newcastle, thinking he’s too big for the club, and that if Real Madrid came calling he’d leave Liverpool, that is what I specifically said.
I never criticised him for having a big ego on the pitch. And how can he have a big ego on the pitch either, he’s done almost nothing at all at Liverpool. Looks like a little boy lost at times, very passive, unlike Ekitike who’s full of fire and confidence.

3rd January 2026 at 10:09 am #235294You tell me Iโm wrong then you admit that you did criticise him for having an ego all in the same post.
Fool indeed.

3rd January 2026 at 10:15 am #235296Are you dumb or something?
Ekitike has an ego on the pitch, he believes he is is the best, and is proving it easily.
Isak’s ego refers to him thinking he can down tools and force a move, something only the most stupid players would ever do. And I said that this ego (or rather delusion) could make him leave Liverpool if a bigger club came calling. Basically an ego borne out of selfishness and delusion.
I never referred to Isak’s ego, as a player on the pitch, so you are wrong yet again. In fact, he’s not even that great a striker to even have such an ego.

3rd January 2026 at 10:18 am #235298When someone resorts to personal insults over the most benign things, as you frequently do, itโs indicative of insecurity.
Another case of you having to be โrightโ when itโs obvious youโre not.

3rd January 2026 at 10:30 am #235299Jumping on a losing debate started by a fellow loser is not a good look, think for yourself.
As for Isak, he looks so passive on the pitch for Liverpool, so it’s bleeding obvious he has no ego when it comes to playing football for us, in fact he looks like he’s lacking confidence.
But if ever started doing really well for Liverpool (highly unlikely though), and a bigger club like Real Madrid came calling, look at how his ego would make him down tools and force a move – That is the issue you clearly can’t, or do not want to, understand.

3rd January 2026 at 11:29 am #235305Generally, you can tell or sense by player body language, attitude etc.
The one player appearing to be self-entitled is Mo. Obviously, you appreciate why. I just take this all down to the doorstep of Slot. He doesn’t look like somebody that can really connect to a player. I don’t mean just by putting an arm around them, but psychologically and emotionally to be able to form a bond and trust. You feel for players like Chiesa who shows willingness.
It’s more anxiety and what I do see vividly is not egos but longing to want to succeed. Let’s face it though: it’s been weeks, months realistically since seeing an emphatic performance. We have not fired on all cylinders at all this season and never been in 5th gear.

3rd January 2026 at 1:11 pm #235314Watching the Villa game and they have dominated but like us under Klopp, have been left so far frustrated. Credit to Forest for shutting them out which is professional, but can’t help but wonder whether Slot will eventually turn us into Bus-Parkers!!!!!

Donโt think Emery has the charisma for a top club, as good a manager as he clearly is. Suspect the Iraola links will cool off since Bournemouth have been dropping like a stone. Alonso the only outstanding candidate for me. Never understood why he went straight to Madrid after Leverkusen. Two completely different worldsโฆ

11th January 2026 at 7:49 pm #236470I would like Enrique, although I suspect he would want a Klopp legacy at the club, get total control and be a manager, not a head coach. I would not want Alonso, wrong system for me and not as a Madrid reject. He could have signed for us instead of Madrid but chose Madrid over us.
