24th November 2025 at 9:58 pm #231275As long as teams can take point off each other, this league bar Arsenal will be wide open.

26th November 2025 at 11:00 am #231394That’s why we have a buy-back clause for him at ยฃ51m IF he keeps improving, Rob. One of Hughes’s better transfer decisions in the summer.
But it’s looking good for him, so far, and he’s now a regular in the England squad.

2nd January 2026 at 8:29 am #235213Bit of irony I’m posting this, but anyone else getting the impression Ekitike is a bit egotistical? Or maybe a bit more bluntly, a bit of an arrogant a hole?
He’s got a lot of skill no doubt but some of his decision making seem to be centered around himself. He loves to show off his repertoire of flicks but doesn’t do the basics like holding the ball up for team mates.
Heard that at the age of 14 he nearly (or did) get booted out of the (PSG?) academy because of his attitude. When asked which defender he feared or gave him trouble he answered no one. Fair enough if you’re Messi, but he’s not, and never will be.
Then there’s his celebrations, all to do with him not his team mates. Like the recent pull the shorts down to show his knob off celebration. Or the whole red card fiasco which is rumoured to have been preplanned.
Ironic as I thought it was the other expensive striker who was a egotistical twat?

2nd January 2026 at 9:48 am #235218Pointless breaking the British transfer record on an already highly-prone injury Isak, who’s hardly available, and who is definitely going to get injured again, especially now that PL defenders know which leg to target and tackle hard. Take about a self-serving, petulant individual, just ask the Newcastle fans and Alan Shearer, what they think about of him.
As for Ekitike, he’s a real team player, well-liked by the whole squad, and Kirkby staff, he settled in at Liverpool seamlessly from the the very first day.
And of course he has a big ego, most of the top strikers have big egos, and that’s why they’re the best, if you don’t believe in yourself, who will? And the better he gets, the more Liverpool will benefit from more of his goals and assists, and the bigger his ego will become. Absolutely no problem with that.

Is that what you are basing your agenda on? Like they are going to have an unbiased view on the matter arn’t they?
How do you know Ekitike is liked at Kirkby? Are you there yourself?

2nd January 2026 at 11:44 am #235225Weirdly he criticises Isak for having an โegoโ but for Ekitike itโs fine.

2nd January 2026 at 12:04 pm #235226Personally I think a bit of ego is ok, especially for a talented striker. But just a few things recently have irked me a little, like the knob celebration etc. He also seems a little too interested in a showboat move when a simple hold and layoff would have been better. Hearing him arrogantly dismiss every defender in football is a bit of a concern, he should show more respect.
Maybe its just all for show and those that personally know him like his team mates, Kirby staff and Songman, know him as a decent humble chap.

2nd January 2026 at 12:06 pm #235227I think an ego for a striker is fine too.
Itโs the hypocritical nature of the criticism where for one itโs fine but not seen that way for the other.MacAllistar seems to find Isak a quiet guy as heโs stated publicly.

I’ll do it once I’m done with lunch with Rio and Trey then I’ll ask my coaching colleague Mark who the biggest twat is, Hugo or Alex.

2nd January 2026 at 2:01 pm #235242I find that a little bit hard to believe re Ekitike. He’s just a lad with enthusiasm and fire in his belly. I don’t think it’s an ego thing at all.
Was Trent and Salah playfighting or was that real in a sense of an ego thing then?

3rd January 2026 at 8:07 am #235271Asian, having a basic insight in tactics and seeing deficiencies in what a player does are not mutually exclusive. Some of us can discuss either of them isolated or even in conjunction with each other.
You continue being you, just slate the players and demand new ones. Must be a nice simple life.

Wow, have you never observed closely the chemistry between the players on the pitch or in training. have you never read the comments from his fellow players (and coaches) on how well Ekitike has integrated in the team, have you neve heard of social media, where you can clearly examine the interactions between the players.
Your ignorance is astounding, and your losing, childish agenda fails once again.
