Arteta’s improved Arsenal with belief and confidence and Good Luck to the Guy.
Klopp did the same in making us believe in ourselves and gradually over time, we grew. My slight fear is that we don’t regress. We really could have done with a couple of reinforcement good quality squad players or just one top-notch signing.
I had my doubts over Minamino but he’s starting now to apply himself with more thrust and he’s becoming more prominent and effective in games. I see a bit of Yossi Benayoun.
I know it’s the same for everyone else, but really miss the fans and for us especially, they are our 12th man. At some point, something’s got to be put in place to reignite circulation, even if it’s scaled down.

Minamino is only here a wet day. Ox, robo, fabhino never got going until a good few months after they joined
No probs losing on pens.
Why do we not start keita in some games when he is playing well?
We did the sane at the end of last season. He was excellent againest bRight in then dub for two games? Are we trying to manage him better cause of injuries?

I think Sean, there’s been some emphasis mate from Klopp to try and embed the youngsters to allow them to grow in confidence and develop into good players.
He must have seen potential of the Training ground etc to be convinced he can work with these guys.
Can wait for Trent and Hendo – lol, we miss Greatly 😀 🙂

I still think Liverpool will make a signing or two the window is open until October 5th.
I wouldn’t take too much notice of the Community Shield it’s just a glorified friendly and although Arsenal were missing players too both TTA and Henderson were important misses for Liverpool.
But two tough PL seasons competing at the levels Liverpool did might have taken a bit of the edge off them players like Thiago from Bayern and Sarr from Watford might fit the bill and won’t be massively expensive and would give Liverpool some extra impetus.
That’s where SAF was smart he always added a player or two to the squad to keep everyone on their toes after each successful season.
If City were to sign Messi though I think that might give everyone a problem for a couple of seasons.

That’s it nine. We have spent about 8m in 18 months. Surely even we with the pandemic , we have a few bob to siege but I really don’t think we do
Kostas was bought with the Lovren money.
Sarr cost watford 30m so I think they will be looking for more then that.
We need to sell to buy

Wilson
Shaqiri
OrigiShoujd all go. We need a centre back but I think klopp will use fabhino as a 4th choice centre back
We need a proper player who can cover some of the front 3 and Thiago is just to good an opportunity to miss. Really don’t think we will pay the money him
Going to be very difficult to replicate our league form over the last two seasons.
We have a very good squad but we need to add players to try and keep moving forward

Sean, you’re right about Keita starting. He was more of a playmaker when he came on. To be fair albeit a few crosses pouring in, we were pretty ordinary and contained. We lagged too when it came to our tempo.
If Minamino establishes himself, I think Shaqs will be moved on. Shame as I liked him and played in nice pockets up the top of the pitch.
A couple of those mentioned names as signings would be grateful to bolster our overall squad.

Mikius has said we need to try find another way to be creative this season and I agree. Usually our crazy city comes from the full backs out wide. Taa is like a play maker playing at eight full while Robbo gets so many crosses inWe also play it into bobby a fair bit. We can play numerous ways but someone like Thiago be ideal to try maybe be a bit more creative and pick a pad from midfield
Really hoping for a big season from keita. Just injuries are a major problem. He’s gives us a bit of thrust from midfield and runs at people. Such a good player there but can’t stay fit

Well, I’m back. I thoroughly deserved my time away from the site but I’m looking to get past it.
Threeps, I respect the hell out of your opinions but looking back at the last few moments we’ve had, I don’t think we’ll ever really like eachother , personally. if we can keep things some way friendly though that’d be best for all here.
Anyway it’s good to be back, a lot of goings on elsewhere , not so much here for us. You could almost use that Hollywood trope “hear that?… quiet/…. almost too quiet”.
Everyone has to catch up with us but we should keep running.

Nine, if we were to go back a few years I would have shouted your name from the rooftops. We’ve fallen out quite a few times now though. I wont excuse myself from blame but I also wont try to pin any of it. Regardless of anything, I should never have called you a snake. I won’t add any kind of argument after that. back to football though, things are damn interesting with Chelsea buying so well. My PL prediction isnt looking bad with that in mind.

All forgotten Mak in fact until you bought it up with the Ed I had completely forgotten you had even called me a snake and that certainly wasn’t the reason for your suspension and I would have intervened on your behalf with the Ed if it were. But it’s all water under the Bridge now buddie.
Sometimes things get said on the spur of the moment wrapped up in all the passion and emotions of supporting our Clubs when we end up taking entrenched positions I know very well that you’re a very decent lad and a very good poster and I’m glad to see you back.
As you say Chelsea have bought well and I’m looking forward to the season I don’t think Chelsea will win the title although I hope we can close the gap a bit between ourselves and City and Liverpool.
We are heading in the right direction under Frank albeit we’re still a bit short in a couple of areas but I think we’ll play some good football along the way. Peace and love.Cheers 9’s

Caught up with some highlights re our pre-season against Blackpool yesterday. A friendly that I completely forgot about lol. 7-2!
We conceded though. 2 Goals. Allison’s not been having a good time, but we responded and a good message sent out overall before going into the new campaign.
Keita and Minamino look better the more involvement they are having so that needs to continue. Good to see Joel Matip back. He was missed. Good to see Divock back too. We need all our players really to return to full fitness as it would fill me with great confidence in starting the campaign well in our mission to defend our Title._____________________________
