Looking Forward to Match Of Day Highlights as far as our game goes.
Something tells me though they’ll be some ‘narrative’ about Salah being injured and thus we can’t win anything, and/or Klopp’s reaction will be accentuated as a ‘key talking point’.5th October 2019 at 10:01 pm #49470
Maintaining our 100% record is one thing, but all in all, it’s imperative to keep any chasing opposition at Bay. Even if they play first, against our points accumulation, they can’t leapfrog us.
Of Course, we’ve been there before, so we know what we are letting ourselves in for.
We’re going to drop points. That’s nature, but don’t be too drawn into it, and get straight back on the Saddle so they say.
EVERY GAME IS HARD.5th October 2019 at 11:05 pm #49471
Any ref who gives a dubious penalty in the last minute of a drawn game is a king size a hole and is trying to portray himself as a man of duty when all he is is pure scum of the Earth.5th October 2019 at 11:12 pm #49472
Except when in favour of Chelsea?6th October 2019 at 4:32 am #49473
The timing of it is irrelevant. It is whether it is a penalty or not and that was a penalty. The right decision was made in my opinion.6th October 2019 at 4:38 am #494746th October 2019 at 6:06 am #49476
I don’t think that was a penalty even though I wanted Liverpool to win as Leicester is a threat to our top 4 chances, if you look closely it was a very good theatrical dive with hardly any contact if any but he managed to fool the ref and it seems most of us.6th October 2019 at 8:42 am #49478

Blaze, I agree that the fall was a bit theatrical mate but there was contact and it was clumsy. Decisions like that will divide opinion. I thought it was a pen myself but no doubt Mané a meal of it6th October 2019 at 9:23 am #49482
Just seen the game on MOTD, penalty incident, there was contact and then the player threw himself to the ground, unfortunately in this day and age in pro footy that’s a penalty, while you have players, managers, ex players, pundits saying there’s contact he has a right to go down, then it’s always going to be a penalty.
The tackle on Salah, the laws need changing, professional/cynical fouls should be a straight red, it shouldn’t matter where on the pitch they occur, whether there’s covering players or not. I sometimes think players are hard done to when they get sent off for getting a tackle wrong (not the studs up lunges), yet cynical tackles/blocks/shirt pulls only get a yellow….Pagan6th October 2019 at 12:20 pm #49494
C67, hi mate.
To begin with, I wasn’t a fan of Henderson because I thought he would be a box-to-box type of player. He grew on me when a became Captain even though I didn’t take to the idea. I like the guy. He is better suited in Midfield when he’s accompanied with players like Fabinho and Gini because they are more industrious and read the game better to project our defenders.
Milner starting yesterday turned out to be an excellent choice by Klopp.6th October 2019 at 12:26 pm #49495

I’ve absolutely no problem with Henderson. Does a job for the team and passionately cares for the team. Was so delighted for him when he lifted the cl trophy.
Will go down a Liverpool
Legend as he lifted number 6
No player divides opinion for Liverpool
Fans more then Henderson6th October 2019 at 12:57 pm #495016th October 2019 at 1:11 pm #49507
C67, I was aware, of what you pointed out via the other site, but people on here will tell you they are not the greatest of bunches to have a discussion with. It’s like being against a Crocodile and you dare not voice anything different.
That’s where there is a ‘division’. Personally mate, I have more important things in my life like my Job to think about then be soaked up or sucked into that.
See how much different and relaxed it is on here – we’re a lot nicer 🙂6th October 2019 at 4:33 pm #49553
Bit of an addition to my post on cynical fouls, having semi watched the Chelsea game, one of the commentators or pundits when talking about the Southampton goal said the Chelsea player should have fouled the Southampton player, not just dangled a leg out he should have moved in front of him and blocked him. I’m not condoning the tackle on Salah, but what chance do we have when commentators and pundits are saying professional/cynical fouls are part of the game and are encouraging them…..Pagan7th October 2019 at 12:38 am #49640
Good morning Nil – after City 0 Wolves 2 we might have to create a new thread called Manchester City going backwards. Long way to go and the clash between you guys and City next month will be significant. United losing too made it a really good day. Liverpool can really enjoy the International break off the back of this weekend’s results. 🙂
