I would hate to see MacAllister leave. I think he is one (among many) that could reignite under different leadership.

1st May 2026 at 2:24 pm #244905I think at this stage of the season the players know they also share the blame, I have no doubt about it, to some extent our troubles were because of injuries but the players also just failed!
Since he shaved his head and just embraced his baldness Macca has been good, he is a world cup winner and should not let his level slide this much during a season where he is actually playing.
I hope he stays as he is starting to remind me a little bit of Mascherano right now, my favorite moment with him was when he actually just kicked the ball as hard as he could at his opponent that was diving in front him, I think it was one of those Chelsea fixtures we had in the Champions League or something. He just blasted that ball right into the gut of the Chelsea player. He was trying to slow down the attack, now I remember.
I want that fight back from our midfield players! Where they hurt they opposition!!

You raise a valid question â where is Moonster? â last activity 3 months agoâŠStill here MacLad, just loitering in the background.
Remember all the arguments I had about the âseeming fire sale of talentâ and the squad being torn apart?
Remember all the arguments about players being unhappy⊠remember when I was told I was making it up?
Remember when I said training was poor and the players were unfit?Well⊠welcome to LFC, 26/05/2026. I almost feel like Nostradamus.
Sure, the info I had about Slot being sacked turned out to be wrong â but honestly, it feels like nobody inside or outside the club has a clue whatâs going on right now.
Edwards: one year.
Hughes: one year (and apparently already lined up for a Saudi move next year).
Slot: completely out of his depth, with another year to go.You couldnât make it up.
Longâterm planning? Another rebuild? And the three main people responsible for it are all leaving within a year. Iâm sure theyâll be highly motivated to get it right…wouldnt you be if you was gone next year?!FSG have pulled the multiâclub model, arenât willing to act to stop the slide on the pitch, and seem focused on Champions League qualification and âbrand valueâ rather than the team itself…
So yes â Iâm still here, just lurking in the background until things improve and I can get a proper handle on whatâs going on.
Right now and this is legit ‘itâs a madhouse and totally confusing’ at LFC.

Yes indeed, I remember you stating this ridiculous nonsense right in the middle of last season, when we were going for the title, and despite your failed, childish, agenda – we easily became PL Champions, long before the season ended.

So how exactly did a manager who’s “completely out of his depth” win the league at the first time of asking?

You mean where I said that the standards had been allowed to slip….I guess that hasnt happened then?

He was running Klopp’s team, if you want to look at when the drop off really occurred, then consider when Slot started to try his own tactics…the slow pragmatic boring play._____________________________

No, absolutely not, it was when you were peddling childish rumours that the players were fighting/arguing in the dressing room, or after matches, in your thinly vailed hope that Liverpool FC would fail last season, but much to your dismay, that didn’t happen.
And then you quietly disappeared when it was clear that we were going to become champions.

The dumbest, most stupid myth being peddled by the media, and believed by only the most stupid of fans, is that Slot won the league only because it was Klopp’s team.
How come Klopp couldn’t win the league with the same exact team then?
While Slot did inherit a top team from Klopp, he made two KEY strategic changes that Klopp could not (or never did) that were instrumental in us wining the league. Gravenberch was moved back form a No. 8 to a No. 6 (Defensive midfielder) and the superlative, versatile Luis DĂaz became our first-choice No. 9 in most games.
Plus, he got the most out of Salah, far beyond anyone’s expectations, leading to him breaking the record for goal involvements in one season.
Nothing, and no one, can ever take this highly and fully deserved title win from Arne Slot.

2nd May 2026 at 2:30 pm #244945Standards haven’t dropped? You gotta be kidding me, i have no words to describe your answer.
Just a little fact check for you songman, the arguing started this season and your mixing things up. There have been multiple spats at half time and its been the senior pros kicking off. Also, remember when I said Mo speaking out wasnt just about him….
The standards dropped on the way to winning the league…just check back to our form on the run in. The management/team sat back thinking they could cruise the last few months, Slot partying Ibiza a few times, players having more down time…thats not a sign of good professional standards. They should have stayed focused…they didnt, and that has run into this season and it shows. We’re unfit, we’re not drilled correctly, set pieces have be shocking, and the die hard pros know it and are packing their bags.
Anyway, thats my view and youre welcome to not agree

Total rubbish and an outright lie, you stated this quite clearly LAST season, around the turn of the year 2024/2025, and if teanTALK was still operational I would have submitted your posts as evidence to prove you are just a manipulative liar.

I never at one point refereed to standards, read my post clearly, looks like you’re now debating with yourself, and clutching at straws.

2nd May 2026 at 3:03 pm #244954You first asked “âRemember all the arguments about players being unhappy⊠remember when I was told I was making it up?â”
Then you asked me “You mean where I said that the standards had been allowed to slip”
And I DISAGREED and said “No, absolutely not, it was when you were peddling childish rumours that the players were fighting/arguing in the dressing room”, So I NEVER referred to standards slipping, ONLY to players arguing – Get your facts right.
You are so myopic you can’t even see it is you who is like Trump here, lying, manipulating and peddling failed agendas.

2nd May 2026 at 8:34 pm #244961First of all, welcome back Moonster.
Last season I gave you a bit of stick, mostly for the “fire sale” thing. I still stand by that spending half a billion on players does not lend itself to that idea.
But a lot of what you said I have heard is happening with regards to standards. And I hinted earlier (without any real engagement) that a number of senior players could be going because of what is going on, or at least I have that concern.
I also have to admit I was wrong about the 2nd half of last season. I could see the drop off, but I thought that was because the league was won and Slot was perserving the players for this season. I didnt realise it was part of the transition from Klopp to Slot, both on the pitch and on the training field, that we are now sadly seeing in all it’s horror.
My fear is with Edwards and Hughes maybe around for another year (why have we a DoF only for a couple of years, thought the whole point of a DoF is continuity?) we will actually end up keeping Slot and waste another season with the same tepid performances and slack training. Why would they be bothered about securing the future success by appointing another coach? And which respectable coach or manager will want to work under these two clowns anyway?
Hopefully Hughes goes, but then that also opens up many further questions…

4th May 2026 at 11:05 am #245158Going Forward
Liverpool has to be very clever, shrewd and cunning in the transfer market, like under Klopp signing incredible bargains like Robbo, and generational game-changers like ManĂ©, Salah, DĂaz, Alisson and Van Dijk for their CORRECT prices.
Thus, NO MORE more wasteful, emotional paying over the odds, like buying Isak for £125m, yet similar strikers, with more output and availability, like Gyökeres and João Pedro cost an incredible HALF the price of Isak i.e. £64m and £60m respectively.
Even Jamie Carragher echoes my sentiment, as he said today:
âI want Liverpool to go back to buying the right players for the right money and what they need right now.”Now, let’s have a great summer transfer window, and get us right back to the top, where we belong.

4th May 2026 at 1:11 pm #245175Sturridge is just absolutely 100% right, we need to find a defensive midfielder, we have not bought one for 3 years now.
It is gonna be a interesting summer, we got loads of players leaving and a bunch of them coming in, IÂŽm pretty sure we will see another two 100+ million signings.

âNot good as we go home with 0 points. After the first half we shouldnât be happy at all.â
âI try to do my best. I try to drag the others with me and hopefully set an example game by game day by day and thatâs what I want to do and I want to do that for the last three games as well.â
‘Try to drag’? Don’t like the sound of that, for many reasons.
