8th September 2025 at 8:59 am #226338Mikius, i see the vultures are already out for writz. Giving him stick after germany lost friday.
Hamann defends him though. Such early days. He needs a goal to settle him.hes working really hard. He was very good v arsenal last 20 mins. Hes a 100m pound player so hes not going to get patience from certain areas. He just needs to adapt to tye oace and physical side and he be fine
No minutes for isak for sweden on friday so be interesting to see if he gets even 20 tonihht. We really have to be careful with him. I dont think he will start a game for a while. Hes miles behind with no proper pre-season

8th September 2025 at 10:12 am #226339To be honest the whole german team is getting stick and Wirtz will get it more because along with Musiala he is the great hope of the nation. With Musiala injured its all on Wirtz.
He will get stick from rival fans as the online community is very tribal and toxic. Anyone with any footballing common sense knows he needs time to adjust to the pace of the PL.
Think he got caught sonething like in possesion 5 times for the entire Bundesliga season last seaosn and has surpassed that already in the PL and Community shield.

8th September 2025 at 11:30 am #226342We will absolutely need to give him time to adjust to the Prem.
People forget heβs just turned 22 this year so still quite young, younger than Bradley for example.
And as Threeps mentioned opposition fans will just use this period of adjustment to get at him. They should be ignored.
Itβs why I suggested previously picking and choosing when he should play, like Klopp did with Robbo and Fabinho.
Slot sees it differently, and thatβs fine._____________________________

8th September 2025 at 12:02 pm #226344Also his team mates need to get used to him. There was a moment against Bournemouth when he had the ball in a dangerous position and was clearly looking for some movement. It didn’t come, defender pick led the ball off him, Wietz gets the blame for not releasing quick enough.
Our forward play has a different level of creativity with Wirtz, they all just need time to gel together. Same with Isak, who might take up positions or make runs our players arnt expecting. But these are top quality players who I’m sure will show their quality sooner rather than later. Helps we have a top notch coaching team.

8th September 2025 at 12:46 pm #226347Salah is on record lately as saying that itβll take time to work with his new team mates, their runs etc (if memory serves he was taking about Ekitike) but the same applies to Wirtz.

11th September 2025 at 11:28 am #226432Read that Konate has refused to sign despite all his demands being met. So what to do with him? Drop him and play whom? Play him regardless? Try sell him in January (might be more difficult than it sounds).
Gomez has played at a top level before but we know he’s a little fragile. Could he and Leoni cover that side and Konate ias only back up? I think the Italian will still need time to settle and should be restricted to league Cup games for a bit.
Personally I want the team to be the best it can be with the players available and if Konate is on form then he plays. Freezing him out could be detrimental to the team and we must avoid that.

11th September 2025 at 11:47 am #226433Ah he has to play threeps , best option
If he wants out sell in jan and get guhei in. Simple but wont happen π
If he wont sign a contract after getting everything wants then he has to come out and say it. Let him go for free in summer then.

9th January 2026 at 11:35 am #2362719 Undefeated and to be fair, we could have been positioned in the league table elsewhere in the doldrums. Unbelievable we sit 4 in Champions League Places.
The game slot is now implementing means, we dictate at OUR PACE. No doubt, it will be challenging against pace, intensity from different and perhaps much of more stronger opposition.
We’re still in the rebuilding process and change as far as our centre backs go is a must this coming summer.
We definitely need a new defensive midfielder and a winger too.

9th January 2026 at 11:46 am #236273If we had beaten the newly promoted sides home and away, which we should be doing on any given year, that alone would have made a difference.
Thatβs just about results though, our performances throughout the season so far just havnt been good enough, lacking a coherent plan of how to defend, transition and attack.

9th January 2026 at 12:04 pm #236274Newly promoted teams tend to sit deep and go direct, that has been our Achilles heel all season.
Agree Ginger on the performances. We rode our luck in the first load of games were we won them all without actually playing that well or dominating anyone.

9th January 2026 at 12:25 pm #236275relying on a highly injury prone Gomez and a 19 year old kid recovering from a ACL tear would be a pretty bad idea if you ask me

9th January 2026 at 12:41 pm #236277We believed and trusted in ourselves a lot better. How valuable is that? Plus, composure and feeling more comfortable not only on the ball, but all around the pitch. Forward, side-to-side, backwards (when needed); moving the ball around and maintaining possession.
It’s made me realize the importance. But of course, it’s a gamble in it’s own merit that it only needs one moment of magic from the opposition but equally allowing them possession and opportunities means they could convert into goals.
Acceptance from me. For years we had Trent which we taken for Granted, as well as Mo and the Team Jurgen Klopp assembled together, developed and established. We are in transition. I’m not sure about Slot from a sacking point of view. Maybe he can turn things round for us. Feel wholesome more better after yesterday, but hope we don’t take our feet off it and get all lazy.
FA Cup and Champions League are a must going forward.

12th January 2026 at 11:55 pm #236658February being a short month looks like this for us and these run of games don’t factor the Champions League
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/scores-fixtures/2026-02
He has 4 whole days this week which I believe is the longest. He won’t be getting a length break till the 1st of Feb as it then all kicks off again from the 8th.
It looks like he wants to get through these challenging periods under his belt with successes to take away the pressure from him.
