I think you’re right Nike. It will also be up to him to prove he’s not third choice. Konate looks like he might be booking his plane ticket, so it would make sense to sign someone who is first team ready.

I agree that Guehi probably wouldn’t see himself as 3rd choice at any club.
That’s what I find problematic.

Guehi’s knows that he’s good enough to be first choice at almost any club in the league, and no way is he moving to a club unless he’s guaranteed of being a regular starter.

Is Robertson staying?

We have cover which is encouraging for when there’s injuries and rotation. Plus Robertson’s experience is worthwhile. Kostas unfortunately will have to move on, but a great guy and deserves a good club.

Thing is Nil you can’t just say that guy needs to be sold, they have to want to leave also if still under contract. By all account Tsimikas loves it at Liverpool and is very popular amongst the squad. He’s on about 75k and that might be a bit high for some of the clubs that would be interested in him.

Yeah, fair dos 3p’s. I didn’t mean that in a mean spirited way towards Kostas, but was just thinking in light of Kerkez, Kostas’ opportunities will be limited. He’s a great lad within the group.

Ultimately, it’s in the hands of the club whether or not they intend on keeping him and what his current status is with his contract so it could well be sit-down-talks.

Looks like Robbo could stay after all, as Atletico are now after a different left back.

Think we can safely say, there will be no more incomings till one or two sales have been confirmed. The big ones are likely to be Harvey and Darwin. If they both go that should raise north of a £100m, but even with that coming in, I can’t see a massive bid for Isak. I think a centre back, probably Guehi, will come in, say £60m, and unless there is another large sale, I think that will be it for this summer. Make do with combinations of Diogo, Luis and even Wirtz playing as a either conventional centre forwards or false 9’s, and then go all out for Isak next summer maybe?

Yeah, we need to think about transactions now the other way in raising funds for the time being aside the Guehi reports this week.

I don’t feel too confident about us getting Isak. Over The Moon regardless of the business we’ve achieved so far effectively over a month of the season ending and us being Champions 🙂
