Sean, if we sign 2/3 good midfielders in the summer, I’d be delighted mate. I’ve read online, Klopp’s going to be handed funds and will get the backing.
He’s going to axe big names and won’t hold back doing this, so we could see a whole new line up next season.

Lucky absolutely no chance we would get mount and it looks he looks for mad money from Chelsea mate. Not sure many lfc fans would want him but He would be perfect for our midfield 3 though. I’m not a huge fan of his as an attacking player but he works his balls off and be great in a work man like midfield 3

Yeah mate, we are trying to create a sustainable wage structure, all new signings on lower wages than normal around 100k per week, mount seemingly wants north of 200k. James agreed extension on lesser terms than mount is demanding and I don’t think we will give him what he wants.

Lucky, we’ve already experienced that mate with one well-known player as you know and make no mistake, he’s been missing for months now. Opposition have figured him out.
I wish now we had Mane. Mate, greed does not go down well with LFC fans. Mount is attack minded and a clever player I believe could do well, but we need players with the right attitude and not necessarily individuals who feel entitled.

The first leg at home might work in our favour ala Real Madrid. We’re starting to get our mojo back. Though still quite a way off to our full potential, we are stepping in the right direction keeping clean sheets and working more for each other on the pitch.
Hopefully, a positive result tomorrow night and a win which would really boost our confidence going into the match at Palace this Saturday.

Ah nine we are still miles off it chum. We didn’t manage the game well on sat and we started very slowly. Midfield still wide open when we lose the ball but it was a very good win.
We took our two goals really well. Gomez is still a liability. Madrid are just so wise in Europe. Hoping the crowd can spur us on. Being saying for years we owe these one but they just keep beating us

Madrid are way off it this season too Sean. Miles behind Barca now in the league. Usually they step it up in the CL but I think this could go either way. Bookies have you level with Real to win the whole thing and I think that’s probably about right.

To be honest Nine, if Pope hadn’t made that sending off hand lunge challenge, Salah would probably have made it 3-0 away against Newcastle 11 men for the last hour…
As Chelsea fans know, it’s goals that matter. Not chances or squads… Against a clinical striker, Man Utd should probably have been at least 2 down at half time with frequent gilt-edge chances but the back pages celebrate a decisive win…
I still believe in big CL games Real Madrid (Ancelloti) are still a bigger threat than any other team in Europe except this seasons Napoli…theres a reason why even with huge financial advantage and squad City haven’t won the CL… they lack a squad of players with raw hunger and truly passionate fans creating a special atmosphere…
Too much money brings problems hidden across a league season (two squads of first team players) but found out in gladiatorial cup ties… in my opinion…
Really looking forward to 2 more mighty games against our old adversary and great camaraderie together in Liverpool ale houses hosting esteemed Spanish footy fans. Both sets of fans ran the gauntlet of probably outside, the most horrificly negligent organisation of a football game from fans safety in the city and Paris stadium surrounding area that I’ve ever witnessed in 56 years… I was a Hillsborough survivor and this was equally horrific… The LFC fans behaviour saved many lives!

Agree with all that Mikey Liverpool’s last 2 games suggest they’re beginning to get their mojo back the point I was trying to make was that Liverpool will probably have to go up another level against Real Madrid with some players back I certainly think they’re capable of doing that. It promises to be a very good game I’m looking forward to it.

I had thought about that instantly at the time, Mikey B. Pope is punished, but that denied a potential goalscoring opportunity. Unfortunately with the law, it’s a free kick outside the box at best.
Ancelotti has a hold over us since I think from when he managed AC Milan. We need to forget what happened back in 2018 and from what I saw last spring, there was more camaraderie between managers and the two teams. Players/Personnel change and it’s focused more on the job in hand than anything cynical and conspired.
That’s the attitude we need to take going into the game tonight.
