Really enjoyed that. Perfect night.6 wins out 6 in the so called group of death. We played some good stuff with so many changes. Excellent performances from konate, Philips, Williams, origi , Morton .Another really positive performance from ox who was mom for me. Great stuff.

Yes mate, absolutely delighted. We mixed up the 11 quite nicely tonight and it paid off. I believe the existing injured players too are recovering.
We are in a better position than we were this time last year.

Do you know what I think? Absolutely nothing better to do with themselves. Michael Owen of all people and he takes the biggest Pi$$ playing for Man U. He’s a C**t and hard to like even for what he gave to Liverpool.
Steven Gerrard is Steven Gerrard and he doesn’t have to justify himself to Nobody, not even Robbie Fowler.
These guys really don’t do themselves any credibility and value as citizens or any form of legendary stature. Liverpool will always come First.

Steven is very conscientious which is clear. He is driven and already has shown confidence with his self-motivation. That’s professional. Not only that, he is moving forward with his career and leaves the emotion of Liverpool at the front door.
Robbie Fowler looked very impressed and rightly so. I think Michael was just having a bit of fun. He did seem surprised but guess what, it is feasible!

In Nils defence (and it might have been a strongbow moment), I don’t see anything wrong with what he’s said, as Owen did move on to play for our bitter rivals.
Gerrard one time announced that he was going to Chelsea and people burned his jerseys etc… We had quite the rivalry with Chelsea at the time and I’d even say it still exists because of the freakish amount of times that we played eachother in a spell of 5-6 years, in the CL(and the passion that those matches were played in).
There is nothing that could have convinced Gerrard to go to Utd and they tried. Fergie admitted to seeing if something could be done.
I myself don’t think Owen is a cunt, because things are different for a lot of players. He was never really attached to Liverpool emotionally, like the fans and a few players are. I also don’t think he’s particularly like-able though. I was going to say that I don’t particularly dislike him as a pundit but I also don’t think he’s very good at it, yet. In this case, he’s still learning his trade.
Owen’s motivations at the time have led to the demise of his character amongst fans and I accept it, because he chose himself over the club, in the way that I think most players do now. It’s hard to hate them for it but we also don’t have to love them.

Fair enough Nine. You are moderator and you’re not wrong here. I guess my old reason for speaking up was that I didnt see it as an old Nil post.

I will say though that I liked Gerrards response to Owen but I think it was a setup, so it took the shine off it for me. Owen definitely fed that to him and Gerrard was sharp enough to take advantage of it.
Sean, Robertson’s struggles early on, turned him into a berserker and that’s when he’s at his best.
I like that you have been appreciating Thiago all this time man. I think you and me were banging on about Firmino and Wijnaldum before it was an accepted thing. In Thiago’s case though, it’s so plainly obvious that he’s doing so well.
He may even be out performing Salah.. well overall no but there’s an argument over short spells. That’s no knock on Thiago though as Salah is so far ahead of everyone else in the PL right now. This might be his best season yet.

Thanks Mak it’s not been easy and I had a bad week last week but on the positive side only 2 more treatments to go unfortunately the next one is the 23/12 so likely to mess up my Christmas but I’ve got my head down now I can see the finish line in January.😊
