what should our tactics be? Watching Liverpool this season, it seems when teams sit deep, they counter them by playing a ball over the top, not into the channels but between the CB’s and the full back. This has resulted in their CB’s getting dusted, they seem really slow and unable to even turn quickly enough to recover, could we do the same? Is Sesko quick enough?

What you asking for is for us to do the impossible.. we rarely attack through the middle, rarely give any sort of through balls either over the top or down the middle .. we are filled with players whose first instincts when attacking is to shoot instead of finding a team mate in a much better position.

And yes Sesko does possess a decent amount of pace to trouble most CB in the league but he won’t get the kind of service to utilize that pace..

Regardless, on form both teams could conceivably lose this game, you’d argue a loss would be worse for Liverpool than for us. Even a draw would be good for us, for them it could be a disaster.

Yeah they’ll never lose 4 n the bounce, never. Same as when we played City and they were in shite form, no way they’d have lost 4 on the bounce either. We just don’t have it in us unfortunately.

@happy – We dropped close to 50 points last season to teams who finished outside the top 6, do you not think any of them were “shite sides” during that time? No doubt it will be Bruno stinking it out in midfield again and that useless little prick Mount undeservedly shoehorned into the team somewhere just because he runs around for the first 20 minutes before reverting to type, ie being absolutely fucking shit.
Even if he gets away with a narrow defeat today he will still have it all to do to keep his job until the next international break, having watched Brighton yesterday that already looks like yet another home defeat coming our way next week.

Amorims main problem is that he is so sure of wat his players can “probably” do; he doesn’t give any thought as to wat the opponents will definitely do against us and that’s definitely overrun our spineless nd dire midfielders… Also we could be somewhat decent if players like Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha, Amad actually do realize sometimes it’s better to pass the ball to a teammate in a better position than having a pop at goal from just about anywhere or any angle..
