Got a feeling due to their run, they’ll be nervous, we will draw at least.

6th October 2025 at 8:17 am #228021Zico, their backline is awful, in Europe they won’t get away with it. VVD spends 90 minutes playing everybody onside.

6th October 2025 at 10:54 am #228030They’ll have a few weeks to get their shit together. It’s hard to know how it’ll go. Their defence plays high and Konate and VVD seem to be all over the place. Konate is doing so badly that I’ve seen talk that Real Madrid have abandoned interest in him and are going for Upamecano of Bayern instead. Both are on a free next summer. Expect Isak to come alive soon.

6th October 2025 at 11:09 am #2280314-0 Liverpool (unfortunately) – our players know they’ve never won 2 in a row in the Premier League, they know Liverpool can trounce us if they want to and, on the other end, Liverpool also know they’re much better than us and will like nothing more than to get back to winning ways against us.

15th October 2025 at 3:32 pm #228238In retroscpect this could be an interesting game, Alisson is injured and this isn’t an easy game for Marmadashvili to come into with almost no experience at Anfield or against Man Utd, there’s a chance that both Gravenberch and Konate won’t be fit so they could be starting either a wing back or an academy player in central defence. Arguably, on current form, Gravenberch is a bigger loss than Konate.
Hopefully we will start Lammens again, yes he’s young but he brings a bit more calm to the defensive line than Altay. We traditionally up our game against Liverpool and I don’t think we’ve any major injuries after the international break – Diego Leon also made his international debut for Paraguay (albeit in a 2-0 defeat to South Korea, he came on when Paraguay were already 2-0 down).
This could be a very interesting game, you’d expect them to beat us but…. you’d never know._____________________________

15th October 2025 at 6:42 pm #228242killy, I ‘expected’ us to beat you last season with you lot heading into the game following four straight defeats and us banging them in left, right and centre. Was not shocked in the slightest at the result. Could go either way this.

15th October 2025 at 6:55 pm #228243It definitely could, Sesko has two in two, the midfield might actually pass to him, that would definitely help

15th October 2025 at 7:31 pm #228245they look all over the shop at the minute and I think a lot of it is down to putting Dominik Szoboszlai at right back. he’s such a silky player and adds something special to that midfield. reminds me of berba. listen, maybe the new German kid beds in but I don’t know. it just doesn’t look like he has enough time on the ball to do what he wants. whether he can adjust his game is the big question. Isak will come good but then what do you do about the other lad? more questions than answers at liverpool at the minute but they should still spank us 2-0 as we don’t have any midfielders

15th October 2025 at 9:23 pm #228246Their biggest problem at the moment is Wirtz, he was savaged by the German media after the Northern Ireland game and looks completely bereft of confidence. Ekitike can play on the left, Isak in the middle although Salah is looking increasingly ineffective on the right. Wonder was it a Bruno situation, would have been a good time to let him go but he wanted to stay?

15th October 2025 at 11:30 pm #228247I don’t think so Killy. he was still so good and the real difference maker last season. he just hasn’t got going yet. not having Alexander Arnold feeding him will have hurt, no doubt.

16th October 2025 at 7:29 am #228249lol everyone talking like we didn’t finish 15th last season and haven’t played decent football in months and as if we’ve actually won 2 games on the bounce under Amorim before XD
And we’re not playing a League 1 team here (though we still lost that one)… we’re playing the League Champions away.
easy Liverpool win; they won’t even break a sweat.

16th October 2025 at 9:19 am #228252Talking to a mate of mine today who’s a Liverpool fan, he’s not confident at all. He reckons a win or draw for us will be good for us but anything other than a win for them is a disaster.

16th October 2025 at 12:01 pm #228259I know, but the pressure is all on them this weekend. Given our form, no-one expects us to win, it’s more a question of how much we lose by according to most people, even though their form hasn’t been great all this season. They were scraping wins while playing badly, and now have lost three in a row in all competitions. We’ll be hearing calls of Slot out if this continues. Who’da thunk TAA was so important?
