Lammens made a top save down to his left at the end didnโt he? Literally saved us 2 points!

4th January 2026 at 4:02 pm #235524@blacky has summer it all perfectly. Yes Sesko should have done better with that one chance he got but cmon playing 90+mins and having 1chance created by ur teammates will dampen even the most prolific strikers.. also those mentioning Haaland ought to know he does misses a few but still scores alot because of the amount and quality of chances created for him.
Watch Seskoโs movement off the ball and you would see him making good runs but never gets picked by his teammates either through a quality pass or cross into the box.

4th January 2026 at 4:33 pm #235552Regarding our striker situation, if you look back during our premier league years. With the exception of Rooney who was a phenomenon. All the young strikers we signed, Ole, Hernandez, Forlan, had a more experienced main striker to learn off. Agree with Blacky and Others on here about there not being the great strikers about nowadays.
Also wonโt dispute that the likes of Haarland, Kane would score the amount of goals they currently do due to the creativity.
However if we had a player of that calibre and experience (which is vital at a club like Utd) they would demand the service and through balls and improve us.
Finally if Harry Kane wins the league or champions league with Bayern, and if he wants to try and break Shearerโs record. I would happily take him for few seasons at Utd._____________________________

4th January 2026 at 4:59 pm #235573In the past they played 2 up top which kind of helped. Now you’re a lone striker, plus the strikers now are big lumps who can’t do anything without service, unlike past strikers.

4th January 2026 at 7:08 pm #235616I’m not disputing the comments about lack of chances etc but you can all see what a quality striker is and Sesko to date has not shown that. You can gloss over it as much as you like but the guy looks like he needs 4/5 chances to score.
Last 2 seasons in bundesliga his stats are
Played 33 scored 13 and played 31 and scored 14. Long way to go for this kid to be a success._____________________________
