Got an Uncle back in UK who’s pretty clued up, he seems to think it’s likely to happen… I’m starting to think it isn’t… and if it isn’t done by Monday (when they all bugger off on “tour”), I suspect it won’t be.
Anyway, a rather boring 0-0 against Reading in the first 45 minutes, a real mixture of starters and bench warmers, and an entirely differenet 11 for the 2nd half by all accounts..
Way to early to read anything into these games, I know, I know…

So we’re “close” to get another CB in the form of Zabayni from Cherries for another 60m… that’a a lot of CB’s on our books, starting to suspect Cuti is on his way or Mad Frankie is going 3 at the back… either 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 or switching between the two…. certainly too many for a more “normal” 4-4-2 that’s for sure.
Don’t think Gibbsy is coming… (although I understand there are some “personal” things going on with the pregnent misses Gibbsy which are taking, and should be, precident right now!)

Not holding my breath for MGW anymore, still don’t quite understand the legal point Forest are arguing about here… what’s the point in having a confidential release clause in the first place?
So, who’s next on the list?
Do like the idea of Paulinha in and Bissoma out (had enough chances, just doesn’t seem to work in a Spuds jersey for him!)… don’t like the idea of more CB’s… maybe another LB to help cover Udogie (rather than playing a RB out of place…
Just hope we end up with a much shorter injury list, that would be like signing about 6 new players in itself…

So Forest have come out and said Gibbs is going nowhere….
Not sure how that works if he has a realease clause in his contract, but I’m not a lawyer…
Unless they’re saying the release clause doesn’t exist…
So I guess, at least, my Spuds can’t be in trouble for activating a non-existing release clause.
