Jim, you think Liverpool were the only team in the league who could compete with city and he’s basing it on us spending money.

Utd have spent much more money then ya in recent seasons so why aren’t they expected to challenge?

I think it’s mind games from nine lol. Look at spurs bench today. They have a fantastic team
Look at Chelsea’s squad. They only win the league 15 months ago

New manager but it didn’t stop conte. Liverpool are not the only challengers to city and everyone knows we are more then capable of falling apart at anytime and it’s crwzy talk especially with one game gone

Liverpool have a net spend of 160 min 8 windows since klopp came.

    Utd have spent 317m

    Not sure what’s Chelsea’s is but it’s usually 90 net a summer.

We had to swell one of best players to buy a few players. That’s easily forgot by many people. Equivalent of Chelsea selling hazard. Utd pogba and spurs Kane

I agree wholeheartedly Sean. I think City are favourites but it won’t just be Liverpool challenging. I think nine must be klopps love child!

Sean, my views on Liverpool being the main challengers are based on where Liverpool are coming from last season, the quality of their front three and the strength of Van Dijk plus the signings of Alisson and Keita. This is probably the best all round equipped Liverpool team for a long while.

Liverpool imo are rightly second favourites I still don’t think they’ll win it ( even with the KDB injury) because there are still gaps in the depth of the squad and injuries to key players could significantly handicap them but it’s going to be a lot closer than last season and if Liverpool go pretty much injury free I wouldn’t discount them winning it.

By the way Sean what you spend is not as important as who you spend it on and Klopp has bought much better than Mourinho which is why Liverpool are rightly second favourites for the title ahead of United and overall a better team.

Jim re how much are you putting on Liverpool? I never bet on anything mate let alone football and you obviously haven’t been reading my posts as to who I think will win the PL. But you both need to watch out for Chelsea coming up on the rails!?

Nine all your posts about Liverpool clearly show you have been taken along with all the hype, as Sean indicated you don’t mention anybody else as contenders, and KDBs loss could well tip the balance in Liverpool’s favour and so on and so on. Im totally fine with it but I do find it a little funny.

Sean, Chelsea spent £17m , £76m and £90m net in the last three seasons so circa £60m on average per season and just like Liverpool have previously Chelsea sell to buy even selling Costa last season.

Liverpool are righyly second favourites for the PL embrace it don’t run away from it .

It may all go t’s up but Liverpool are progressing.
