Have to admit it took longer than I expected for this sort of thing to happen again.
Nil are you having a go at me because I made a post at 09:01 when according to you I should be working? I don’t need to explain this to you but I will. I get up at 04:45 and commute 1 hour to work (home office finished this week). Then at 15:45 I do the same drive home and have time for a work out before my girlfriend gets home. That constitutes a 40.5h working week. My job involves working on a computer so I usually have a few spare minutes to visit this forum during the day whilst my work is either loading, saving or most likely crashing. In the past I have been in the RAF, visiting places like Iraq, UAE and Kuwait, working 70h weeks and in conditions that most people would consider as pretty shitty. Think I’ve done my fair share of hard work.
Of course none of this is yours or anyone else’s on here concern. Neither is when I post or where. You had a go about this before with Mak and it was pretty disgraceful. Have a go at me in the future and I will make Steveo’s post above seem tame and friendly.
And Sean, yes mate that’s for Germany. Bit concerned about Crete going the same way as Magaluf did with the youngsters going wild and forgetting everything about safety but so far Greece seems to have a good hold on the situation.

Stevo, no worries mate and I really wasn’t having a go at you personally and you’re right everything has to be kept in perspective people have lost their jobs and family members and many have health problems and are facing life threatening illnesses and we all should be grateful for what we’ve got.
Sometimes things get slightly out of hand on here but generally it’s a bit of haven to come on and discuss the footy away from the rigours of everyday life with some decent lads even if our tribal instincts get in the way a tad on occasions.
I don’t talk about it very much on here because I want to get away from it but I’ve got a serious health issue I’m wrestling with and things go up and down for me with it according to results right now the results aren’t great but I’ve got a wife that keeps me focused on glass half full and not half empty and she keeps me positive.
Everyone has their problems but you just have to get on with it and try and not bring them on here anyway that’s my advice to Nil. Cheers all 9’s

I don’t usually react as strong but as well as suffering from my own mental health issues at the best of times I’ve also been coping with this strange period with no family (other than my son who looks to me to be strong as he should) and having lost my job 5 months ago
Loving on nothing, eating little, trying to keep my accommodation and everything else and still manage not to dump on this site or any otherI utterly resent nil, his comments and poor me cry’s for help. He is a serial twat.
I very very fortunately got offered a new role late last week and am awaiting the contract to sign
I’ve never felt this bad this low or this useless in my life and never been out of work so long since I left school and my first time on the dole (UC) …. of which o receive a pittance…. and not even that for FOUR months …. it doesn’t even cover rent let alone anything else
I have never been so close to losing everything and I do mean everything….
Then to hear this absolute chopper come on here saying ironic meaningless shit and telling people they should try working etc …. to much
Even now after a sleep I’d slap him stupid
Guess I said my piece and then some bit by Christ nil had it coming and I don’t wish him well in any way shape or form
I save that for the people that actually deserve it

Dare I say it, but the thread was obviously one that was going to be nonsensical. I think your big mistake, Steveo, was responding to it in the first place, albeit in a light hearted way. Just ignore the d***head posts, as you’re just adding fuel to the fire.
He won’t apologise, he is selfish, completely unselfaware and has this pathetic victim complex, but try and just ignore those posts.

It was the work comment that tipped me and not just because of my own situation but I know how hard others work or have worked there while life
Obvious it was a crap thread but I did comment in humour initially….

This was intended of admittedly disgruntlement from the lack of transfer activity so far we’ve had and having seen what’s taken momentum from competitive clubs that could be of a threat to us.
I struggle sometimes in accepting and coming to terms with the situation and changes.
I was hoping for a reaction where they could purely and simply see where I was coming from. Obviously, I was not feeling at my best and so there was negative energy channeled and frustration of not seeing a more variety of views from different participants on other threads. It’s ultra difficult at the moment with covid19, pressures at work in performing to the best level and looking after other colleagues and preserving leadership.
People need a release time to time and nobody’s perfect. I’ll take the flak like we’re on the pitch and I don’t hold any bad feeling as today and tomorrow are new days.
I have no business whatsoever in raising individual posters affairs so I do genuinely apologize for the way the message has been delivered and the chain-reaction of replies and any offense caused to everyone and I mean it wholeheartedly.
There is a lot happening out there and we need to take that into perspective.
I don’t particularly hold grudges or get too upset even though I do suffer from depression and battle my own demons of emptiness and loneliness from time to time, I am a naturally positive person and well received out there in the ‘real world’.
It’s difficult with limited football and my team not involved, but we’ve just gotta ride out the summer and domestic football will soon be back. I hope we can ultimately move forward from this with all said and done.

Last night was a bad night for you and the reactions understandably were unfavourable concentrate on the football and try and remember you’re not the only one with difficulties on here or in the world at large.
One thing my illness has taught me is that you shouldn’t feel too sorry for yourself because every time I’m at the Hospital I encounter someone much worse off than me which has been humbling.
