Nine, I’m confused by one aspect of your post. You keep reiterating that the tweets are unrelated and I can’t see anyone saying they are related. Am I missing something?

Only reason the tweets are mentioned here is Holgate has brought attention on himself by his accusations and it looks like he doesn’t like his old tweets – and they have added a third issue for the FA.
Unfortunately the one issue that looks least likely to be actioned is the dangerous push by Holgate which could have injured Firmino and spectators.

beni, I think we’re both on the wrong thread but some seemingly have tried to use the tweets as an example of what kind of person Holgate is.

Holgate’s was responsible for the shove on Firmino and his reaction to what he deemed was racial abuse from Firmino.

What Holgate tweeted at 15/16 has nothing to do with either action by Holgate if the FA charge him for the tweets that’s another matter entirely.

Like you I think Holgate should be charged with dangerous play for the shove on Firmino.

Maverick – Barca – Real play each other 4 or 5 times every year besides City and Barca have the 2 best footballing sides so thats why it would be great if they could reach the final. PSG I dont known how they play cause I dont have the means to watch French football and when they played in the CL I prefer at the time to watch EPL teams, they played at the same times.

Hey Mav, now that would be interesting. But how would Mouriniho find space on the bench for all these creative players with lumpkaku up front. Seriously tho it seems to me that City are calling Snachezs bluff. Ie do you really want to join the best team and play for the best manager and in all likelihood gain a premier league winners medal. Or do you want an extra few million quid in your bank account. Arsenal don’t have much say in the matter really as Sanchez could demand a move either way if he wanted and Arsenal can’t sell him to a club he doesn’t want to go to regardless of how much more money they might get. You could say this is a big step by City, come and play for us because you want to, not because of soley the money. Perhaps the days of signing mercenary players like Robiniho and Adebeyor are well and truly over. Ball is clearly in your court Alexis. Personally I will still be dissapointed if he joins United as he is an excellent player. But its not like it’s going to cost us much, at least this season.

According to Guillem Balague it’s all about the size of the City offer.

Allegedly City have currently only offered Arsenal £20m for Sanchez whereas United are seemingly prepared to meet Arsenal’s price which is allegedly £35m.
