Hopefully we’ll have signed Balde by then, Shaw simply can’t continue as out first choice left back. Personally I’d be inclined to go for Salinas who Barca want to buy to replace Balde. Why spend £40-50m on a 22 year old when Barca are going to replace him with an £18m 19 year old who they clearly believe is potentially better than Balde

Spoke to people here about Balde and no one seems to be raving about him. Would be daft to give them big dough for a player they dont want when they wouldn’t even pay £26M for Rashford. This seems like another one of those signings that no one else is really in for. They should have thrown everything at getting Lewis Hall early in the window. Most i’d do now for any position is a loan for numbers. Dont see how you get top players in last week of the window. Better to hold on to whatever little coin we have at this stage.

If you had watched the way Ipswich played over the weekend then you would have a cause to worry.
As for signing Balde he is amazing going forward but he lacks defensive concentration but the same can be said of Nuno Mendes some seasons ago and for the recruitment department the less said the better.

Balde will be an upgrade on Shaw for sure but, then again, a traffic cone might be an upgrade at this stage.

They have a signed a complete first 11 with absolutely no improvement… yet i keep reading bollocks like last season they focused on improving the attack, this window it’s midfield and next window it’s defence 🤣🤣.
As for the whole recruitment team i think Berrarda and wilcox should be taken off making any transfer input because so far they have nothing outstanding to show for it. At least Vivell pushed and brought Lammens and Sesko with the jury still out on Santos

Sesko needs to start, none of Cunha, Mbuemo, Zirkzee or Rashford give us enough of a focal point in attack. They’re all just attacking midfielders with slightly above average eye for goal. The sooner we get rid of Zirkzee and try to bring another striker the better, can’t see it happening in the next week unfortunately

(Apparently the American owners in the premier league) reckon that the clubs aren’t maximising their full potential and more will be earned. Therefore in my eyes this means the Gimps will be around for long time and Ineos can’t afford to buy them out.
