Well, Irish interest in these matches has certainly peaked. A big ask to go to Budapest and beat Hungary but at least it’s generated some excitement in the national team. In fairness Parrott took both his goals well, a proper poacher. He’s doing very well in the Dutch league, still not sure he can cut in the Championship, or even the PL. Great to see a ref having the sack to send Ronaldo off. He could have no complaints, it was a blatant elbow. He tried to infer that Halgrimsson influenced the ref with his pre-match comments, a bit rich coming from that prick.
