9th September 2025 at 8:47 pm #226391No interest at all
Donβt know we were playing until o checked scores πMakes you wonder who replaces Harry when he hangs up his boots
Made me realise how poor footballers are in general and the dirth of talent in all areas
We used to argue who of several in each position but no longer
I must be getting old but it was definitely better in my day!

10th September 2025 at 9:00 am #226400Yerevan is at an altitude of nearly 1000m (3300ft). I’d imagine that had something to do with the performance. They’re still shit but the altitude definitely didn’t help.

12th October 2025 at 9:07 pm #228197Rover, it’s Essentially down to the Length of a Shut-out in Domestic Football as a Result of the International ‘Window’.
Players naturally have to Commit, but then risk themselves of potential injury. Of course, this is comes with the territory, but with the Domestic League being Dog-Eat-Dog more than ever, Fans quite frankly will express the attitude more towards Disgruntle.
In an Nutshell, it’s sheer Boredom and Disengagement.

13th October 2025 at 7:20 am #228205The problem with the Internationals is the groups are seeded, which means there’s only really 2 competitive games in each group, when the teams expected to finish 1st and 2nd actually play each other…. other than that, it’s just a procession of boring one sided football.
If they want to make it interesting, even just a little bit, when pulling Buffy’s balls to make the group, don’t seed them, just have you 8 mini-leagues (or however many it is) and pull all the balls from one bag!
You might get some “weak” groups, but you might also get some seriously strong groups… I mean, a group with England, France, Italy and Spain in it might blow the wind up my skirt.

13th October 2025 at 8:46 am #228207Get rid off the nations cup bollocks. Also for friendlies, should be a rule to play the back up players for 45 minutes, see how they got on.

13th October 2025 at 9:31 am #228208Friendlies don’t affect seedings or international rankings do they? If not then there’s no reason for coaches to play their first team. Unlike in rugby where friendlies do count so it’s harder for young/second string players to get game time.
