A leader for tomorrow backed by a massive amount of protest money… She’ll be leading the charge against the corporations who are burning the planet for profit.
Thing is she is only rehashing what we’ve always known for more than 30 years since I was in school learning about climate change, back then it was about CFC’s in the atmosphere ( and us Chelsea fans were in the doldrums not flying high in the sky) and holes I the Ozone layer bringing about skin cancers. Now its about a hell of a lot more. The seasons are shifting. I was in Croatia last week and it got up to 17 degrees Celsius, it should be roughly zero.
Us posting on here dont count anymore. Its not our generation that will burn or have to defend cities against those seeking water and refuge and a way from starvation as crops fail and the difference between the haves and haves not widen. That’s just part of the process.
Good luck to her, but more importantly, good luck to your children and grandchildren who pick up the pieces from our bank balances.

Sorry to your burst bubbles here lads but I think she’s nothing but a manipulated, life-devoid puppet.
She says that the leaders of this world stole her childhood. her parents stole her childhood. She’s talking down to people who know better than her, who are far better educated than her. it doesn’t matter if who’s right or who is wrong when you’re getting behind this kind of thing. Why not have someone who’s actually got asn education, talking to the people they need to talk to?
She’s nothing but an appeal to emotion and although I am on the side of resolving the globa’l, warming crisis, we definitely don’t need some no-schooled little shit just embarrassing and condescending on people. We need to convince others, not make ourselves feel better about our already established opinions.
This little shit has changed absolutely no opinions, because her attitude is disrespectful and the people behind her are really only interested in shoving peoples faces in it. She’s the exact opposite to what we actually need. In fact, Id say she does a lot more harm than good.
If you want to convince people of something then you have to appeal to aspects of their character. Nobody changes their mind when you openly humiliate them. Nobody.
So let’s forget this silly tit and the parents who have actually taken her childhood and make a better effort at getting the non-believers on board by means that they might actually listen.

Respecfully Mak I totally disagree. People do listen to her, if they didn’t she wouldn’t be relevant and none of us would have a clue who she is. Others are better educated but they have their own agenda which is fueled by greed and power. Look at Trump, the most powerful man in the world and a capitalist, he is only interested in increase his and his country’s industry wealth.
I feel sorry for her generation and admit my generation and older have fucked it up for her. I actually think what she and others like her are doing, whilst admirable, is way too late and won’t do enough to change anything significantly. Some people may change their attitudes, we might recycle a little bit more, or drive an electric car someday, but it won’t change large scale industry. Can’t see China, Russia, India or any other country with ambitions of power changing significantly to be a wee bit greener.
Hate the term Save the Planet, the planet will be ok. Might take a few hundred million years to become healthy again but in a planet’s lifespan that’s nothing. Should be Save Humankind, and that is already looking like a lost cause.
