So next season we play with Mainoo and Bruno as starting midfielders. Who will be the third midfielder? We better get a proper dmf behind Mainoo and Bruno. Anderson is not a dmf neither is Mainoo.

Mainoo and Fernandes can’t be 2 of 3 midfielders in our starting line up next year; they’ll simply get overrun week in week out. Need at least two top central midfielders: one box-to-box and the other a defensive midfielder who will sit right in front of the defence.

@JM-I don’t know what he is more than overpriced and overrated as he is a English player, mate. Don’t know what Mainoo is either but nearest is 8 both of them. Both are everywhere but Anderson has a bigger engine. You’ll get both Tanaka and Rios for less than half the price of Anderson. No brainer really when we need depth in squad for the many games coming next season. Add a good cb in the equation and we will get 3 players for the fee of Anderson.

Anderson is going to City so there’s no point in debating and he has never been the midfielder who sits infront of the defence clearing up attacks .. he’s the sort of busy body midfielder who does everything whilst having a more natural CDM next to him..
Going back for Rios and paying more after they opted not to sign him last summer when they had the chance is just sheer madness..

At least we’ll get a good fee if we decide to sell him. He’s looking better the last few weeks though. Needs a proper, tough, defensive midfielder next to him, he tried to muscle up and it didn’t suit.
