When you’re consistently producing tepid football, that is tactics. Individual mistakes can’t be solely blamed on tactics, agreed, but our poor performance today wasn’t just about how bad Konate was.

Overall the performance wasnt as bad as people are saying… but we have missed the composure needed to put that game to bed. Wirtz worked really hard… but i dont know if its me… he is miles behind the likes of Bruno Fernandes, cole palmer and de bruyne when it comes to passing, composure and finishing.
Ekitike seemed isolated and once again doesnt get into the face of the opposition.. see the difference when we compare him to osimehn. Midfield was sloppy, gravenberch once again forward passing is BRUTAL.. was his underhit pass that led to the corner and the first goal. Mac chasing shadows and szobo also not at his best.
Nil, youre right hopefully we can get a major win at anfield. 1-0 is not the end of the world… we can turn it around next week.

I didn’t think the performance was as bad as some are saying. Very tough place to play. We look slow and fragile as a Team. Could still have got something from the game easily. I’m convinced we should be playing 3-5-2 but injured centre backs doesn’t help

D/H, Probably sums up our season. We’re worlds apart, I think in majority of this season. A few times where we’ve got it together, but this in reality is essentially where we are and few players evidently carried the squad.
Definitely for a Long-term future: 2 Wingers, Centre half, and a Defensive Midfielder. But it has to start from a new Head Coach leading us.

We just don’t possess a mean edge, a ‘fuckin bring it then you twat’ attitude. Powderpuff in too many areas. Gakpo, Mo, Ekitike, Szobo, Gravenberch. None have that ‘gonna fuckin ‘ave yer’ in yer face mentality and boy do we need it in spades. Too easy to play against.

Tough place to play, say some of you. Yep we should have been three up before 15 minutes, but the ‘toughness’ of the place is eagerly abetted by the poor reffing. Soft peno in September; at least 40 decisions in their favour throughout this game, not least the disallowed goal.
The prematurely blond bloke on the right fouls, dives and cheats relentlessly and surely is known to do so, but three of our players booked based upon a reffing neverneverland_____________________________

Notorious, we didnt need ngumoha on against galatasray… wirtz had 2 clean cut chances, ekitike had 2 clear chances, macalister had a chance, konate apparently scored but was chalked off, szobo and gakpo had half chances… And thats just the ones i can remember from the top of my head. We should have put the game to bed early in the first half.. its just another one of those days!
We played some really quick football, just failed on the final part. Salah struggled in the second half… but once frimpong and robertson came on, we lost total control of the game. Frimong got better in the last 10 minutes and he managed to win the ball in dangerous areas and helped with setting the szobo cross for ekitike(should have knocked it down for mac).
Also why is it that every team in the world can deliver good crosses and corners yet most of our players are crap at it?? So frustrating… galatasrays players got good crosses every other time.

Watched only a little of the game but the bits I saw baffle me that some could think that was an OK performance. There were gaps everywhere. Again it seems individual mistakes are being blamed but if players are being turned around, inside out, out of postion, under pressure, then the chances of mistakes will increase.
This is all down to the coaching. There’s little defensive organisation at all, we defend by individually reacting rather than as a unit.
Slot should have gone in November it was clear his style and coaching is awful. If Gala knock us out, which could happen, surely he is gone. If not then it’s just a matter of time until we meet a quality team.

Wirtz is a top player, but if he was more clinical, he would have easily have been in double figures for goals this season. So many times he just kicks the ball straight at the goalkeeper, and that’s why he took 19 games to score his first goal for Liverpool.
He needs to work on improving his finishing. And so does Ekitike.

I stated that we played the wrong defense, wrong midfield and wrong attack Asian and honestly Rio should be a starter by now. How fucking daft does Slot need to be until people realize he is not the coach for us, he makes players worse.
Take Rio for example, cause a part from set pieces we have been shit in the last month, we do not score from open play. So what does our manager do to the only player that has deserved MOTM this year, he benches him.
He had the most dribbles, the most chances, the most touches inside the box in his last game but Slot wants Wirtz there instead after being out for a couple of weeks.
The manager has an IQ of 99, he fucked up the starting 11, he is fucking up qualification for the Champions League and he is fucking up the younger generations at the club as well.
Rio should start every game until the end of the season!

Completely agree on Rio to a certain degree Bingo. He should be starting more games to open up teams (as we are usually notoriously and painfully slow in the first halves) then bring on a replacement or move Gakpo over there if he starts as the 9 later in the game when the lad’s cream crackered. It’s royally fucked up across the whole team with tactics, imbalance, certain players not taking names and numbers, lack of leadership, to name but a few. The Royal Tenenbaums of the PL. Dysfunctional.

It is so painfully obvious what needs to be done, drop Kerkez for Robbo for example. Give one or two of our midfield players a break as they play every game and all of them are in shit form anyways, same goes for our bloody attack. Drop the players that are not cutting it! Play the kid as he is currently the only attacker we have that attacks the box!
Does Gravy, Mac or Szobo deserve their midfield role right now, their guaranteed start? Slot still has not found out how to use Wirtz!
Then the subs, FFS, every time we sub players on we lose control of every match. Every time Slot identifies a problem it is the wrong problem he focuses on.
I stopped criticizing Klopp for his subs cause they always worked, I even stopped criticizing him for the first 11 as he always got it right. Maybe not 100% but 90% of the time. It is the opposite under Slot, his subs work 10% of the time. His first eleven works 50% of the time.
He will sub of Konate in the 2nd leg and we will concede late in the game. That will be the 12th time he has subbed off Konate and the 11th time it will not have worked out.
