Amazing, a lot of the posters predicted shite football, a loss (as fulham have been on form) and we are missing key players in attack(about £190mill plus the greatest winger in premier league history)… Yet we drew from a wonder goal, the guy will never score one of those for the rest of his life… with literally the last kick of the game.
So im surprised with everyones reaction when that is exactly what you all predicted??
Some are mentioning hodgson and rogers in losing the fanbase?? And exactly what did they win in their time as managers? Hodgson had us nearly relegated and rodgers finished 6th after spending crazy money and getting knocked out of the champions league in the first round??
I’ve already mentioned why i wouldnt sack the manager… and I believe we have a very good structure and people running the club who will not have a knee jerk reaction and sack the manager.
Slot may not have a free pass but he still has a lot in the bank. We have arsenal next so lets see how we get on.

5th January 2026 at 1:38 am #235640On to the game. Yep the performance wasnt entertaining in anyway, expected with our main attackers out. We played a team that plays fast transitions, organised and fit, was impressed from fulhams passing and speed. However, besides harry wilsons goal(what were the odds of that) fulham hardly laid siege on our goal… it took them 77minute to actually test us. Theres nothing you can do about the goal at the ending.. nothing.. its a freak goal!
The positives for the game… wirtz scored another goal, frimpong with his first chance to put the ball in did an amazing delivery and got an assist for it. Even though konate was slightly to blame for the goal + slight mistake in his pass which vvd cleaned up, his last 2 performances have been good in general, long may it continue. Kerkez didnt do anything spectacular but no mistakes either, thats small steps for him to build his confidence i hope. Mac was okay on the ball kept the team ticking in the second half. Conor bradley was my pick from all the players, worked his socks off and got an assist.
Negatives, we absolutely played shite football, keep saying it, with the amount of midfielders we have playing every game, how the fuck can we not pass the ball for a good length of time or control the game? The substitutions were either too late or the wrong ones. Should have taken curtis of earlier and got frimpong on… was disappointed with wirtz being subbed… should have taken mac or szobo for chiesa and put him in strike with gakpo on left. Oh yeah could have done with a win… but lets move on to Arsenal and beat them at the emirates!

5th January 2026 at 11:10 am #235695What frustrates me so much about Kerkez is his body-shape as he receives the ball (usually from VVD) around the halfway line when we’re progressing forward in possession from the back. He’s always so closed-off that he’s already signalling that he’s going to pass it straight back inside from where he received it from! Why can’t he open himself up a bit more – with his chest facing towards the opposition goal – and at least give the opposition the illusion that he is maybe going to pass it down the line or, heaven forbid, run in that direction himself. It just makes us so predictable and easy to defend against. His movement / positioning slightly improved in the second half – and I think that this was partially responsible for our overall improvement relative to the first half. Keep thinking that I’d like to see some clips from him at Bournemouth last season to assess whether that is just his game/style……. or whether it is Slot that is instructing him to do this as part of Slotball strategy.

5th January 2026 at 11:14 am #235697Their late equaliser was another Phil Jagielka moment repeated. Why do players always manage to score their ‘once-in-a-career’ worldies against us! You can add Victor Wanyama to that list, although I don’t think his was deep into injury time like the other 2.

5th January 2026 at 11:24 am #235702Red herring, ive already been hounded by my younger brother about kerkez. Judging by what i was told, i thought he was the next roberto Carlos(famous last words)! After seeing him in preseason alarm bells were ringing with how Slow and sluggish he looked! Hes a major factor for our poor form this season and slots to blame for freezing out Robertson!

5th January 2026 at 12:01 pm #235708Red Herring @ 11:13, completely forgot about that one!! You can add Tarkowski last season last minute.
We’ve always had though uncharacteristic happenings like this. I can remember even far back as being dumped out of the FA Cup by a Brian Tinnion goal ala Bristol City. Laurie Sanchez and Wimbledon against all the odds!!!
We got a bit carried away in nature of what we thought was an injury time winner yesterday. If we had a Milner on the pitch, we’d have quickly rallied round, get back on our feet and probably seen out those dying seconds. Equally, nobody bothered trying to close that Fulham player down.
