Like others have said, there is no leadership being shown from the players or the management team.
Just passive, no intensity or drive and so easily bullied.

Sean as soon as I saw Gakpo subbed off I feared the worst, there was no need to restructure the defense. We needed to press every ball and keep our focus, not restructure everything. I hope the lads are as pissed off as me! I find the decision made by Slot based on EGO, like he needs to prove how smart he is or good of a manager. He is not thinking about the benefits of the team, he is thinking about how he sees the game and how he wants the team to play instead of what actually works. I had hopes that he would be a pragmatic manager but he is not! He will die on his hill, trying to make a point!

If I was seeing progress I would stick with it. But we don’t know how to attack. Fullback continually passing back inside when an easy overlap is on. No forward runs. Konate and VVD forced to act as playmakers.

Have seen people say it’s like the same under Hodgson or Rodgers. Not necessarily on here.
Regardless of Hodgsons managerial/coaching ability of a top team, I’d encourage people to have a look at the players he had to work with.
Similarly with Rodgers at the end.
This squad is littered with talent.

Slot is effectively winging it this season as exemplified by his contradictory interviews. At the start of the season, with our crazy game vs Bournemouth, responding to Carragher’s concerns over the amount of attacking players in the opposition box, he retorted that “this is the team we are”. This contrasts with his statement just before Christmas after recent wins but poorer football that “we are getting closer to the team I want us to be.” So which is it?

It´s too much of a ego thing for him, it´s like he believes he has a free pass because he won the title last season. That he is allowed to make what ever decision he wants like the fans will forgive him. I´ve never seen substitutions as bad as this season, every game we lose our shape because Slot needs to identify a problem and expect instant results, we lose our shape every sub he makes. He is not even trying to rectify a problem, just prove his own point of view by this point of the season. I´ve got to admit that I lost my respect for him when he tried to prove in the media that he was a strong manager, he reminds me more of a wannabe Rafa than anything else and if the team fucks up the home game against Burnley I fear for his future. I don´t think we have a chance against Arsenal BTW, he can get away with his tactics away from home but the Anfield crowd is gonna turn against him at the soonest opportunity as everyone is fed up with the backward passes!
