Fulham are doing alright this season. Always will be a mid-table team with a few good players and players, I expect on Sunday to cause us problems as Fulham have always had players that do cause us issues (Zamora, Berbatov, our very own Ryan Babel, Dembele, Saha, Mitrovic, Dempsey) and no doubt Jimemez, Smith Rowe and Wilson will continue that trend at the weekend.
This fixture last season saw us lose here in our bermuda shorts and flip flops. Despite Mac putting us one up we decided instant capitulation was the best option soon after conceding three in the space of 14 minutes. Game over. Since losing at home to PSG back on the 11 March we’ve played 39 games in all comps, conceding 57 goals with just 8 clean sheets. Ouch.
Who will start?
Alisson, Bradley, Konate, VVD, Kerkez, Grav, Mac, Szobo, Gakpo, Ekitike and Frimpong is my guess. Dunno.
We’ll score but they will too. No question.
We needed three points against Leeds as a buffer with these next two every tough trips to London and we cocked it up. We now absolutely need three points on Sunday as there’s tap all for us at The Emirates (could get pounded there) but and we are capable for sure but I have no trust in this team.
Fulham 2 Liverpool 2 (home win would not surprise me in the least).

3rd January 2026 at 7:55 am #235270Two nil to Fulham.
We’ve tightened up a little with Grav not so far forward but our recent 2nd half performances in particular suggest no corner has been turned.
To be fair I don’t think we can get to levels we should be at as it requires a major shake up with the fitness training and that won’t happen instantly.
Who will start? Who cares? Whoever plays it will be boring, slow and disjointed.

3rd January 2026 at 8:08 am #235272Weirdly playing away from home here might actually help us as weβll have to go up a gear and the opposition may actually try and come out to score.
Who starts this game is of little consequence if we continue with the slow ponderous build up, setting up to kill the space our forwards need to thrive and low intensity football.

3rd January 2026 at 8:14 am #235273Fulham are missing several of their most important players to AFCON at the minute which is a big bonus for us.

3rd January 2026 at 9:29 am #235278Tough away ground but we can beat them. Our attackers need to be more clinical unlike in the previous game, where they were wasteful.
Time to get our act together and win this game, and go for a clean sheet also.
Alisson
Bradley KonatΓ© Van Dijk Kerkez
Gravenberch Jones
Szoboszlai Wirtz Gakpo

3rd January 2026 at 11:41 am #235308We’re trying to now adopt to a different style and tempo where we’re able to contain up to a certain period of the match. It’s the 2nd half where I feel things can change for us, unfortunately to our detriment.
We still have the vulnerability to take our eye off the ball, be caught out and exposed. And an opposition choosing (rightly for their own benefit and gain) to upper their intensity at a critical time is a likelihood damaging effect for us.
I wish I was loads more confident going into this game. This being Away from home really is important going into the new year and a YARDSTICK for Arsenal thereafter and potentially, a MAP to take for the rest of our season in rebuilding and restoring so much that we have lost.

3rd January 2026 at 12:50 pm #235310Agree threeps doesnt matter who starts mate be the same shite. 3-1 fulham
Our stats are good for walking ffs. The manager has lost the players as i dont believe they have been to told not to run, fight and battle. Give absolutely everything for the jersey like they did under klopp. We dont do that.
We let teams play. Since jan ive seen Southampton, west ham, wolves twice, forest and othe shite absolutely dominate us at anfield. Awful to watch
There cant be any other reason why intensity and work rate is absolutely pathetic.

3rd January 2026 at 1:18 pm #235318One of the fundamental downfall for us is having our on belief in buying into Slot’s new philosophy. Really gripping hold of the game and posing an authority.
Do we have the guts?

3rd January 2026 at 7:59 pm #235352Well, Bournemouth gave us a little hope at least pulling a goal back. If City and Villa can keep it in touching distance and push at least the Gunners as far as they can, that’ll keep the race interesting.

4th January 2026 at 12:21 pm #235398So one team has set up as 3-5-2 and the other as 3-4-3. I’m predicting over 2.5 goals. I’d say Leeds gave a good account of themselves, but we also made Nottingham Forest like ‘WorldBeaters’ on our own Soil!!
Should be a good game this one and we this this to go our way and hopefully City beat Chelsea a bit later. Even these helping hands though won’t be enough for us the way we have been.

4th January 2026 at 2:09 pm #235435I have to wholeheartedly say, Im intrigued both as a Liverpool fan and a fan of football Gakpo has been positioned as the sole striker.
I wanna see even though this appears as experimental. Can see goals for us for sure if we get our juices flowing ππ»ππ»πβ½οΈβ½οΈβ½οΈππ

4th January 2026 at 2:29 pm #235451We can go 5 clear of United and 6 clear of Chelsea if City Beat them. Remember, a lot needs to be invested in today’s match but the main metric is 3 points which is what’s needed.

One out and out forward on the pitch.
Hardly inspires confidence.
