Sesko has definitely improved but no doubt his touch, control and decision making are poor at times. A work in progress who deserves time. He should be starting the next game and the Mbuemo/Amad rotating up front experiment binned. That works when we want to play on the counter against the likes of City and Arsenal but looks clueless in games where we have to force the issue and create. For me, Cunha, Amad and Mbuemo should be competing for 2 positions. Since Amad has become a guaranteed starter his performances have dropped off.

24th February 2026 at 12:19 pm #240097That was some sprint from Sesko. Unfortunately, it only clocked as the 2nd fastest to the 2nd fastest in the PL π
UNITED’S TOP SPEEDS IN 2025/26
1. Bryan Mbeumo – Fulham (A) 36.3 km/h
2. Benjamin Sesko – Everton (A) 35.3 km/h
3. Benjamin Sesko – Newcastle (H) 34.9 km/h
4. Amad – Spurs (H) 34.6 km/h
4. Diogo Dalot – Liverpool (A) 34.6 km/h_____________________________

24th February 2026 at 12:49 pm #240098@happy – I was against the signing of Mbuemo at that time because we already had a phalanx of number 10’s for Amorim to fuck about with and the signature of a top midfielder was a far bigger priority, plus he was going to be disappearing off to the AFCON every two years AND he had only ever had one standout season so he was being massively overpriced by Brentford.
Every single one of those observations has been proven to be 100% accurate even 6 months later, so stop digging a hole for yourself before you end up in New Zealand you absolute fucking spanner!πππ_____________________________

24th February 2026 at 3:19 pm #240101When it comes to beating a man easily only Cunha can do it as good as Amad but in terms of Goals/assists then itβs Cunha nd Mbeumo over Amad.
Amad seems to be taking that starting right flank for granted, some time on the bench might reinvigorate him.

24th February 2026 at 3:40 pm #240102There was a clatter for him to start and Amorim gave him a run and he was beating defenders left, right and centre, he scored a few nice goals but I don’t recall him having many assists. He does seem to need some time on the bench, Mbuemo on the right, Cunha on the left and Sesko in the middle.
Cunha might be dropped when Dorgu comes back as Dorgu can stick to the wing and not drift inside. I remember one time last night when Shaw had the ball and was waiting for Cunha to go down the wing and he was standing in the D. Shaw was actually gesticulating for him to get on the wing. Although I applaud players for being inventive, there still has to be an element of stick to the plan/formation._____________________________

24th February 2026 at 6:26 pm #240107@Trapper we look better organised, have the right people in the right places, but are still sometimes up for the fight and can’t get pushed off the ball, whilst other times that isn’t the case, like last night. are Everton a very physical team because they pushed is around like we were school boys. the thing that hasn’t changed, that I’ve been going on about for years, is that our players movement, unless we are playing on the break, is piss poor. the whole game I never saw anyone run into pockets to receive the ball. they are so static that if the other team sits deep we are absolutely clueless. this has been the case for as long as I remember. we also don’t try to beat a man. now in fairness that’s not just a united problem, that’s a league problem. the only time I see people try and take on a man is to draw a foul which is just pathetic. the game is so stop start now that it’s not exciting at all.

25th February 2026 at 10:07 am #240116Said months ago that Amad is dropping off. Put him on the bench so he wakes up. He has qualities and he is the only one who can find Sesko in the box with his pinpoint crosses. So in an ideal world i would start both Amad and Sesko but Amad needs to find his head again. if Sesko starts i would start Dorgu on the left wing and Amad on the right. But i dont mind Sesko coming in with fresh explosive legs the last 30 minutes but without Sesko our attacking force is dire. A whole new midfield is urgent next season. Everton showed we have trannies in midfield. It was boys against girls really. i fear for the remaining fixtures.

25th February 2026 at 10:45 am #240122Against ‘bigger’ teams who are comfortable enough to play a high line then Amad, Cunha and Mbuemo are probably the best option because their pace in behind gives us an advantage, although Sesko isn’t short on pace either you could still put him up front and have Cunha and Mbuemo on the wings. When we play against a team that has a low block (park the bus like Everton on Monday), you simply have to have Sesko on the pitch because he gives us a focal point that we lack when he’s on the bench. No one else is proficient enough in the air, or in holding up the ball, to be preferred to him against a low block.

25th February 2026 at 12:44 pm #240127Must be more to do with Sesko’s link up play because you do need that focal point upfront against teams that park the bus.

25th February 2026 at 2:27 pm #240130He could well need to work on his link up play, Haaland needed to as well when he arrived at City because he was simply the focal point of everything in Dortmund, it was just get the ball to Haaland however you can.

25th February 2026 at 4:09 pm #240132Work and dodgy stream means I only saw bits of the game. What a result and what a run of results!
Lammens has been great, calming influence. Maguire doing well, think he’ll get another year. Sesko looks like he’s got the makings of a great CF

25th February 2026 at 4:17 pm #240133Lammens is unreal. Honestly, how many keepers right now could hold a 1-0 lead under that kind of pressure from corners?

25th February 2026 at 4:21 pm #240135I think Sesko deserves to start over Amad. Sesko is always in the right position to receive the ball and score. If we play Mbeumo just behind the striker, like Rooney used to play, we can maximize both players strengths. Sesko with his clinical finishing and movement and Mbeumo using his physicality to create chances for the center forward. If we set up like this, we likely to score more goals and make the attack more dynamic.
