Hep Puppy, how’s it wagging?
Been a bloody awful season for about a million reasons, cyber chum, and the next 6 weeks just got a lot more interesting. Not sure about Ryan Mason taking over, but let’s see what the new manager bounce can do and see if we can qualify for the Champions League before we resign from the Champions League…
I bet West Ham, Leicester, Everton and Leeds are getting confused!

I’m not sure the other PL clubs will love the fact they’ll no longer be getting a share of such a huge TV deal Steve. The TV deal for the PL minus the big 6 will be a tiny portion of what it is today.

I think the only way a PL could survive without the big 6 would be a huge revamp, maybe a British Premier League with Scottish sides brought into the equation. Survive is probably the wrong word as it would of course live on without this. Thrive is probably a better word.

Let’s face it, the “Splitters” have all the “power” here… I can’t see any of the three local FA’s kicking those clubs out, they would all lose a ton of cash straight of the bat, and UEFA don’t have anyway of stopping it unless they come up with an even bigger bag of cash.

Let’s not forget that this ‘project’ probably isn’t meant for people who use this website ( and similar) but is presumably aimed at the billions of people who like ( or can be persuaded to like) this particular version of football and don’t mind watching it online. We must assume that the people making this proposal are no mugs in terms of developing the project to date but who knows where things will settle if it is to get off the ground. We probably shouldn’t underestimate the potential interest in this however repulsed we are by what we’ve seen so far.

The big clubs basically know they’ve got everyone else over a barrel. And to paraphrase an old political saying, big clubs don’t have friends, only interests. Any kind of sentiment from local fans is just that to the big clubs. Sentiment.

Ed, as a consequence of the ESL announcement and (as far as I’m aware) all contributors to this forum support the ‘Big 6’, have you considered renaming the site, possibly, ‘Pariah’s Footydebate.com’?
All joking apart, and I know, if the ESL is implemented, it will probably be in a totally different guise to that reported today, I am truly devastated by the announcement that my club will be one of the members. A club that I’ve supported since 1970, in three different divisions and watched them at 71 different league grounds up and down the country. Us true supporters are being sold down the river without any care. That is the real sad part in of all this._____________________________
