22nd October 2025 at 8:53 pm #228789Only excuse is saving him for Brentford. But I guess Mo gets the nod unfortunately.

22nd October 2025 at 9:03 pm #228790Right, regarding headers, as has been mentioned earlier, with the considerable height in our front-line (as Gakpo, Ekitike and Isak are all 6ft 3 and above) surely we should be using this to our advantage as a potent weapon from corners, free-kicks and throw-ins.

22nd October 2025 at 9:05 pm #228793Decent first half
Still issues there.Strange that Frimpong played very wide when RB but when Bradley came on he came inside more.
Chiesa looks like heβs coming on which Iβm happy about.

22nd October 2025 at 9:17 pm #228795We are playing far too many attacking players, we get congested up front and everyone just low blocks us, then when we inevitably get turned over we are so open and exposed. But look at Ekitike when he has that space to run into… absolutely magic.
We are going to cough up so many chances in the prem like this….we already have.
We’ve sacrificed too much industry for flair.
Delighted we are winning tonight, and we’ve been playing a bit better…..and yes, great to score from set pieces…..but none of our goals have come from our new attacking tactics. I can’t see when our next clean sheet will come.
But play well, regain some confidence…..and we’ll see where it takes us._____________________________

Two assists for writz. Hard to really judge as they were desperate

22nd October 2025 at 9:58 pm #228802Much needed on the back of 4 straight Defeats and I’m glad bold changes were made than burying our heads in the sand which was fuelling our situation deeper into more despair.
Hopefully, this is Springboard for us getting back on track, but taking each game one at a time and not getting too ahead ourselves.

22nd October 2025 at 10:01 pm #228803Szobo and jones were very good sat in front of the defence. Both very athletic and can pass and run with it.
Salah greedy again when he could have got wirtz on the scoresheet. Not surprised.
Same team and formation again on the weekend, Bradley in for injured frimpong of course.
At times it was a box midfield, with szobo and jones sitting and Gakpo and wirtz in front. And the 2 up top. Team balance looked a lot better.

22nd October 2025 at 10:02 pm #228804Great win, but will mean nothing unless we beat Brentford on Saturday.
Good to see Wirtz off the mark with the assists. Hopefully the first of very many for him for Liverpool, plus several goals, of course.
Isak and Ekitike to start again on Saturday, now let’s do it.

22nd October 2025 at 10:02 pm #228805They werenβt great but a good confidence booster for the team and certain players.
Still some issues exist but that wasnβt gonna change overnight.
Need to use this as a platform to continually improve and get the win v Brentford.
Glad to see Slot had the cajones to drop MacA and Salah because his persistence with them, particularly MacA, was worrying._____________________________

22nd October 2025 at 10:02 pm #228806Much better. Movement, staggering the attack, faster transitions. Szoboszlai and Wirtz standout for me and linked well.

22nd October 2025 at 10:10 pm #228810Yes Szobo and Wirtz very good.
Wirtz should have had more assists by now if others had put away their chances.
He may have even had the odd goal himself.
I like what I see from him and heβs getting better.
I still donβt think weβll see him at his best this year until 2nd half of the season._____________________________
