only 7-8 weeks until he might be ready for action, I´m still hoping he can have a good end to the season and maybe win us a trophy.
We have not seen much of him but if we compare him to Nunez, I think we actually got the better player, he is more clinical and you can´t really take your eyes of him for a second. He can win any ball inside the box, head the ball or bring it down, play into others or just score a goal.
I loved Nunez, I thought nobody here actually appreciated him for what he brought to the team but he is not composed like Isak is.
We will start to see Ekitike on the left, Isak up front and Salah on the right at the end of the season, unless you wanna accommodate Gakpo into the lineup.

Who cares if a player has captained his national side? Didn’t Gary Linekar captain England? Can’t imagine he was particularly suited.
Many international capstains are just either the most experienced or the those with the most ability. Totally different to being a club captain.

I did see on the injury list y’day in Frimpong borderline to be be available for Sunday. Jones did well deputizing as RB last Sat, and I would like Zobo to play in his original position.
I don’t know whether Forest will try and go for us with Press or whether it’s a Cat-Mouse Counter. Either way, we need that 4-2-3-1 Emulated re versus Brighton.

The only other candidate we have have discussed is Jones, who I actually think is more vocal out there than Szoboszlai and shows a bit more pride wearing the shirt. I found it very strange to see Robbo on his way out in January, let alone Jones as well as that almost happened as well.

I can´t deny Kerkez is the future, he is one excellent prospect at left back, really fucking tenacious. Maldini found him originally and brought him the Milan academy and he has flourished since then, impressing at every club and most often taking the less glamorous way to achieve his dream. He is here by sheer determination and skill, he just needs to settle, adapt to the team. I got no worries about him but Robbo delivers that calmness, we are more composed with him barking out orders out there as he is one of our more vocal players.
Kerkez still has a bad english accent, I doubt he is that comfortable in front of the media but I was impressed with him when he had the opportunity, he took full responsibility and blamed the whole team for their lack of communications at the back and he absolutely right about it.
Robbo is also leaving in the summer, I highly doubt the club will offer him a contract to anywhere near to what he is worth. He can leave to a number of top clubs and still command 250k a week.
We got a bigger transition than what we have been seeing after next season, Salah, Van Dijk, Alison all out of contract. That´s three of our main leaders alongside Robbo.
We have not seen a transition like that since Klopp took over and made his first window and got rid of a number of players but not even then, we did not have multiple winners in the lineup that could be counted for a title almost every season.

Talking about captains.. i remember the time when henderson became captain and teamtalk had the “henderson” thread(went on for years).. if memory serves me right the lfc forum went into meltdown, we had a right ding dong with the likes of davinci and co. Lets be honest at the time Henderson wasnt highly thought off by many(ballotelli snatching the ball to take a penalty in europa, comparisons to gerrard, etc) and tbf he grew into his role over time.
Though captaining your club team is different to international level.. lets be fair trying to get all the egos, rival team members, toxic environments, expectations, different tactics, positions and everyone else to move in the right direction is no easy feat.
Szobozlai in my opinion is ahead of Henderson at the same age as a captain and talent… whether he can continue this over the next few years, we will have a better picture in june 2027… and whats not to say salah and van dijk have amazing seasons, get contract extensions and continue playing well into their mid-late 30s??

are we talking about the same Hungarian milos kerkez currently plying his trade at Liverpool? You are having a laugh, right?
In my opinion He is one of the sole reasons weve had a shite season, that with konate and liverpools right side. I wont give up on the guy and he has has my full support every game… however he is light years away from the levels set by Robertson… and personally we need another 1st choice leftback in the summer if robertson leaves, cus kerkez isnt even at the levels set by Tsimikas… for me he is just above owen beck, only cus hes currently sidelined with a hamstring injury!

Captaining your national side definitely, 100% shows signs of leadership.
However no one ever said that just because you captained your national team that you should be captain of Liverpool.
As I said earlier, Slot will assess who is the best candidate to be captain for Liverpool, when Van Dijk leaves, and I think it’s going to be Szoboszlai, if he’s still at the club.

Realistically, we have to be prepared and prepare for Transition. Where it’s all gone, it begs, and we’re getting old lol! But, it’s long-time now since the example point of time of Covid, 2020.
We’ve been blessed. Henderson and Milner no longer with us and the same will be soon ala Mo and VVD. I’m talking at a push 1-2 years.
As far as squad rebuild goes, that’s taken shape for the last few years. The dynamics significantly altered last summer and this season we’ve felt it.
Captaincy is important and we need somebody with the right qualities to take us forward. Allison definitely a good candidate, but even his time will soon be up, so we need to be looking at further options and at the moment beyond Dom, I don’t see that many players of experience and readiness!!
