Unfortunately Nil people judge things like depression on how it would affect themselves rather than how it affects the one actually feeling depressed. So someone who maybe has experienced what they view as worse situations may look with little empathy to someone claiming depression because of a football match. Of course this is an ignorant view, that person doesn’t know what other mitigating factors are present, and no preconceived idea of what warrants depression gives them the right to belittle you.
My advice, if you haven’t already done so, is see a therapist. I know in the uk that is still a bit taboo but over here and living with a one has opened my eyes to how helpful it can be, and these things can be spoken about.

Anyone who knows nil for the last 15 years or more will know this is common times and repeat and many posters suffer with real depression not this crying because a football team lost

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much from your end: yes 4 losses in a row is tough to take, especially as defending champions, but it only takes one win or one of your new players to find form and you’ll turn things around. Streaks like this never last, especially for big teams.

@sympathy, we’ve been saying that for years but things haven’t turned around. If ever you want a reason not to spend massive money on players, this is it. Liverpool spent £450m inclusive of potential add ons and have made the team worse. Man Utd have spent billions and seem to get worse every year. For the first time we’ve reined in our spending, somewhat and seem to have gotten players that have actually improved the team.
