Itβs quite simple, if he sets up any of 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-1-3 (not 4-3-3 btw), even these cunts should be able to beat Burnley.

6th January 2026 at 12:16 pm #235813Burnley look absolutely bereft of confidence, with a new coach then this should be a win. Four at the back should be a given, anything in midfield/attack doesn’t matter as long as we have the extra man taken out of defence.

6th January 2026 at 6:06 pm #235857Dalot heaven yoro Shaw
Martinez Ugarte
Cunha
Mantato/Lacey Dorgu
SeskoCasemiro has left us open so many times in the middle and not like we actually control the tempo of the game with his starting so whatβs d point.

6th January 2026 at 8:37 pm #235866I think both Bruno and Mount will be given minutes but Arry, delight and Mainoo still out.

7th January 2026 at 12:11 am #235876I would play Casemiro in a 3 man midfield. His legs are gone but he’s the most intelligent of the lot.

7th January 2026 at 9:24 am #235880Wonder will Mainoo be ‘miraculously’ fit now that Amorim has gone the way of the dodo?

7th January 2026 at 9:47 am #235881Looks like it, Killy. Mainoo back in training and ‘may’ be fit enough to start.
Three in midfield for me: casemiro, mainoo and whoever else is fit (bruno, mount) and if not then Ugarte.

7th January 2026 at 10:10 am #235882If he is fit then he shouldn’t start, purely as a fuck you to him, you can’t all of a sudden be fit when the manager gets fired. It reflects badly on him as a player, if he’s allowed to play then it also reflects badly on the club and Fletcher as the coach. At most, he should be on the bench, just to make a point.

7th January 2026 at 10:19 am #235884Agree, just before Amorim had his meltdown the other Portuguese our captain had his meltdown with the board, strange.

7th January 2026 at 10:26 am #235886I wonder if it was Amorim who was saying he wasn’t fit rather than say he was dropped.
It came following his brother wearing the free kobbie T-shirt, and I think he was banished from the squad and on the transfer list. They were probably looking to have a quiet period before dumping him in Jan.
It may have been a club thing rather than Mainoo saying he was injured.

7th January 2026 at 10:31 am #235888I don’t know, if he was ‘unfit’ according to Amorim which meant he was banished, then play him. If he was ‘unfit’ because he didn’t want to play for Amorim any more, then he should be on the bench at most, or dropped for a game or two to let him know that just because Amorim is gone doesn’t mean the club will accept any shit.

7th January 2026 at 11:56 am #235910Looks like he was genuinely injured and has just returned to training, which is what Amorim said. I don’t think he’ll make the squad tonight, he certainly won’t start. Fletcher said they’d asses him after his first day of training after injury. Likely be on the bench.

7th January 2026 at 12:25 pm #235913I suppose I shouldn’t have ruled out the fact that he was genuinely injured……

7th January 2026 at 12:41 pm #235915Mainoo got ‘injured’ the day after his brother wore that T shirt, and Amorim then subsequently talked about “entitled young players”, but now Amorim’s gone he’s suddenly back training again. Anyone who thinks that’s not very, very suspicious has to be away with the fucking fairies!!π

7th January 2026 at 2:09 pm #235921I would only play Mainoo higher up behind the striker. Don’t want another carthorse leaving gaps in the middle.

7th January 2026 at 3:10 pm #235926MUFC thatβs d thing he is not effective neither his he creative enough to play behind a striker and for those calling to play Mainoo and Casemiro in a midfield 3 with Bruno β¦ have yβall really learnt nothingβ¦ Mainoo is slow, doesnβt cover enough grounds, isnβt aggressive, canβt tackle or win back the ball, he is not much of a ball carrier, is not much of a passer or game dictator.
I have asked this question before β¦ someone on here please kindly state 2 key attributes that Mainoo has which helps improve the team.. forget the England hype which always follow young English players all the time
