Is a player like Ronaldo not much easier to slot in to a team compared to Messi? I half wonder if, even though Pep obviously knows him, Pep can now avoid the headache of slotting him into that City side and the possible disruption that would bring and the almost expectation of having to always play him. I sense PSG haven’t bought him with any kind of plans of how he’ll fit in exactly. I think they’ve bought him because he’s Messi. Has Messi just become too big?

Agreed entirely there Sean. I think with Wijnaldum, he wasnt as highly paid as a lot of other players out there. Took a long time to advance even just to Liverpool, only moved to get a last big contract in. Most of the others at PSG are just mercenaries. They could go to a top PL side and fight for the most competitive league in the world. Admittedly, it’s less competitive the last few years with City dominating it. Wijnaldum leaves there though, having snatched a title away from them.

The other lads though, they could have walked into a top PL side and that includes MBappe but he’s a mercenary and I wouldnt be shocked to see him extend his contract. It’ll be that of Real, whenever they can afford to pay him but at least they are a real team, in a real league. That’s a bit of a stretch even but ya…

Winjildium wanted a 4 year contract and he’s 30. I defo think we got him leaving wrong but he’s gone to psg for the money

It’s a crap league. May well win the cl but I don’t call them a glamour club. Horrible club and an easy route for Messi, ive lost a bit of respect for him.

Horrible team, with Neymar who is absolutely deplorable person on the pitch. Great footballer but he’s one of the biggest cheaters in the game.

Pl has the best players, the best atmospheres ……it’s the best league in the world

Sean, the fact remains Wijnaldum wouldn’t have gone anywhere had FSG offered him a new contract seemingly Liverpool are still trying to replace Wijnaldum probably at a cost of over £30m plus substantial wages. Klopp seemingly wanted Wijnaldum to stay but was seemingly overruled by FSG.

Wijnaldum had the right to sign for whoever he wanted on leaving Liverpool I’m sure he’s earning substantial wages at PSG everyone seems to but he’s also almost certainly going to win numerous domestic trophies at PSG and he has a real chance of winning another CL trophy too.

PSG looks incredibly strong one to eleven to me as does their squad overall, it looks a great move for Wijnaldum to me.

I’m really looking forward to the start of the PL now starting with the opening PL fixture on Friday night between Brentford and Arsenal and I’ll be taking a bit more interest in Ligue Une this season to see how PSG progress.

Big pressure on Poch now to deliver multiple trophies inc the CL.

Ye true nine mate.

Don’t think we going to replace Winjildium . Going back word around the campfire, we knew since last season he was going and thisgo was brought in. Elliot playing in his position al pre season aswell

If we can keep everyone fit (big if) then we can give anyone a game.

Don’t think we will do much but if we win something it be some achievement considering the formidable opposition and all the money they have spent.

Chelsea adding lackau adds nearly guaranteed 20 pl goals a season and adds to an already exceptional squad .Very good signing. City already so so string and Utd bought really well. Going to be very difficult for us this season

Nine….PSG…yes and incredible squad and with Neymar. Mpabbe and Neymar upfront..Ramos at the back, playing in a weak league I would be expected an undefeated season, 5 goals a game does not appear unreasonable, after all, the three of them cannot fail at the same time…can they?. As to the rest of the teams, well they can look forward to a bumper gate, I do not think they will the CL trophy either but we will see how it all pans out.

Rangers and Celtic….they are playing a team in a similar league to there own I would not like to see either in the EPL just by the simple fact we have plenty of “Home” clubs wanting a slot and they try really hard for it season on season. We should manage our own leagues and they do the same, I cannot see any benefit to our leagues at all but hard on the teams that would not make it because of any acceptance to the two
