I want Wirtz the type of player I see in Foden like a number 10. This guy has returned this season back to his best. Only 2 points behind the Gunners. Would prefer City as the entire decade has only seen Liverpool as the only other team to have won Titles.
Next Season we can properly go for it if we get the right players in to plug the holes.

15th December 2025 at 2:33 pm #233998Was at the game sat and in liverpiil for 3 days. Its a really special place the scouse are some of the beat people in the world. So friendly and great crackers k
I thought we played well. Writz very good in the 1st and most ive seen mo run this season
I just cant see this line up continuing though. Its hard to see who is playing were at times. I think the manager is just trying to get is back to winning ways
Songman, in fairness isak looks so poor at the moment. He should be fit by now but he gets no service either.
Tye feeling around the city is hes another carrooll?
Delighted we won. Absolutely loved being at the game with my son and cousins. Love the city and love the people
Back in march for spurs game_____________________________

15th December 2025 at 3:04 pm #234000Glad you had a good time and got the win! Hoping to be there myself for the Wolves game.
It is still a little all over the place and I think Slot is just trying to pitch his best current players out there with more hope than anything that it works. There are times it did at the weekend and times it didn’t. On another Brighton could’ve easily got something out of the game.
Despite it being a team game it really is about partnerships, the centre backs working in tandem, left back with left mid/attack, the 10 with the 9 etc. and we just haven’t had the consistency in partnerships to help develop ‘the whole’ ie. the team.
It’s a bit messy but I’ll take any win.

15th December 2025 at 4:07 pm #234001Isak gets little service but he also show little intent to make runs. He definitely should be fit by now but many of the player are looking shy of the level they should be, especially when it comes to maintaining an intense press for the full 90 minutes. Whose fault should that lie at? Players or coaches?
Don’t think Isak suits the pedestrian possession football we play. Another that was bought without any thought of how to integrate into the system.

15th December 2025 at 4:54 pm #234002Makes you think for sure Threeps. Just hope Isak wasn’t more a ‘statement purchase’ and the more the season progresses the more I think it was. Hey look everyone, we got the moooooolah!
I still think and hope that Isak will be a success but boy, right now, would I swap the money outlayed on a cheaper forward/winger and a centre half!

15th December 2025 at 6:21 pm #234004Surely, the Isak singing was one of trying to make a statement rather than anything else, Ekitike is head and shoulders above him right now. If there was an intention to play both, I wonder if this was in the form of a formation change or was Ekitike the Diaz replacement?! IMO Ekitike must play leading the line.

15th December 2025 at 6:30 pm #234005Yep, Ekitike is the sort of signing weβve been accustomed to making. Didnβt cost top end amount, young, bit raw but clearly hungry and talented and has versatility. Isak was somewhat the opposite and almost criminal as Rob alludes to, in blowing that much when other areas desperately needed strengthening. And weβre still short of a winger!

15th December 2025 at 6:38 pm #234006If… and these are big ifs… Isak was both fit and playing in a system that suits his skillet he would be one of the best players in the PL like he was last season. But he’s not, for either.
He should be fit by now, this is purely on the Slot and his coaches. He should be playing in a system that suits him especially such an expensive signing. Who this is on, Hughes or Slot, I don’t know, but it’s a balls up of massive proportions.

15th December 2025 at 7:00 pm #234007We very much did need to sign two strikers in the summer. Whether Isak was the right call or not, I agree that the jury is very much still out.

15th December 2025 at 8:47 pm #234022Well, one of the players we’re supposedly showing an interest for has equalized for Bournemouth. I would jump at the chance of bring in Semenyo.
On the subject of Isak, I think he needs time, but we need to forge him into a system that will suit him and ultimately bring out the best in him as with the other newbies. This season I think is the write off season that should have been last season, but I’m still not liking Slot’s style of footie as it’s evidently changed.

16th December 2025 at 7:39 am #234082Ye cant disagree threeps.
If look at alk the chances we created for nunez. Isak hasnt had any like then. He hasnt missed a number if chances
On sat we had 5 midfielders starting. Its very hard to diagnose our set up
I think this is a stop gap formation to get us through a rough spell
Unbeaten in 5 but leeds and Sunderland very disappointing results
No way do i think arnie has turned this around yet

16th December 2025 at 8:02 am #234084Frimpong excelled as a very forward thinking wing back with a back 3 behind and two sitting CMs. He was very much part of the attacking 5 of the team. He was never really asked to much defending at all. Most of the time the play focused on the ball players on the left leaving him space to exploit with his pace. It worked great.
I don’t think he has the skillset to play FB in the PL, and if he does the system needs proper protection to offset his weaknesses. As Slot rarely plays with a balanced midfield and most of the season a midfield at all I don’t think it’s going to happen.
So what would Slot need to do to get it to work with him? A 442D, 3 CBs or even the Chistmas tree thing I thjnk he’s doing now looks on paper to suit as it gives him space, but it’s about that holding midfielders or midfielders that is key.

16th December 2025 at 2:59 pm #234098I still got faith in Frimpong coming good, he just needs to be fit I reckon, for example he should be a right fit for that 442D formation. Bradley should be a backup option at this stage, I like the lad, he can pop up with a good game against anyone but he is not the most reliable lad, he lacks consistency. Frimpong has only played 403 minutes this season and those minutes were cameos in a very dysfunctional team that did not know how to play together.
I donΒ΄t think Frimpong was brought here to play in a partnership with Salah on the right wing, he was brought here for the next right winger, inside forward, playmaker or who ever will take over that role from Salah. Frimpong is 25 on a long term contract, SalahΒ΄s future is likely to be up in the summer, with him hopefully having snatched a few more records.
With his latest assist he become the nr 1 forward in terms of goals and assists in the premier league history, got one better than Rooney but the record of the premier league is pretty short though…

18th December 2025 at 10:33 am #234156So now people are giving excuses for Isak, saying that the tactics don’t fit him, or he’s not getting service.
Total nonsense, how about Ekitike then?
Fits Liverpool like a glove, from the first moment he stepped on the pitch for us, a real Liverpool player, doesn’t need any excuses, just gets the job done without a fuss. A far better striker than Isak, as I’ve always maintained, even before he signed for us.
