Bingo he lost the dressing room by sacking the GK coach and good friend of Neuer. He compromised the club by having a relationship with a journo from Bild who spilt what he told her. It would be way easier to pick Houness resume and you don´t get the German job if you are behaving erratically.

That dressing room was toxic as well, we can just use Mane as an example, it needed to be split up and was split up.

They are reaping the benefits right now and I´m not quoting Bilds or some other journos when I state that the management of Bayern thought they sacked him too early.

They are both good candidates but my pick will always be Julian Nagelsmann, he got more experience than the former and he did win the Bundesliga with Bayern.

Then he comes from the same football philosophy we have been using since Houllier first came to the club, in one way or the other, that is a hard club to compete with. It´s tiny, Leipzig also had their best years under him and they are tiny. Both Houllier and Klopp have worked on the Red Bull project and Hoffenheim are not that different from them.

You might be right on Houness joining Bayern eventually but not until Kompany leaves.

The reason why I want Nagelsmann is because his style of play suits us more than any other manager, he likes the same crazy gegenpress as Klopp but he wants more from them and that is something I can get behind, that is something I can picture Anfield getting behind.

I would seriously doubt Alonso´s loyalty for example, first of all, he dumped us after his greatest season at the club and he only had one semi good season, then another bad one followed by one excellent one. He said no to us again when Madrid came for him and now all of a sudden he is the fan favorite. What loyalty has this dude shown us to merit that affection from the fans?

Yeah arguably one the best midfielders of his generation but he left us, I don´t see anyone glamouring for Mascherano either and he was arguably the better midfielder of them both IMHO. He even showed us more love after departing and only departed because how the club was run, he did not run away while we were actually competing.

Wasn’t Alonso essentially pushed out the door in favour of signing Barry (which didn’t materialise) and didn’t Mascherano refuse to play in order to engineer his move away? Or am I misremembering?

Correct Harry. Rafa had tried to sell Alonso more than once (apparently) to fund other transfers and Mascherano downed tools against City to force a move to Barca.

No its actually true.. and theres a good reason for it.. alonso was injured a lot and not match fit for games. I even remember davinci complaining about it 2007-08 season. We tried to sell him to juventus that season… but it fell through… cus they said the asking price was too much. The following season showed how good a fully fit and functioning alonso was to the team… then part of the new galactico era he was swayed to go to real madrid with the likes of kaka, Ronaldo, benzema and a defender me thinks… the rest is history!
