Ed… I have always respected others views on any subject. To be name called though is hard to take. I will state though my views are also taken from working experience in Europe, both living there, working there and even working with the Brussels disconnected and unelected power base. I think I can put forward a reasonable case for leaving as millions of others did.
As been mentioned though, it has finished and its over, it is over for me also, when things get personal like this it maybe a case of some practising what they preach. Thank you to all the sensible posters, some I have had a different view with but we always found a way of not takeing to a personal level. I am sorry Ed. I cannot accept this level of abuse but my best wishes to the forum

Brian, don’t you even dare to think that, you are one of the most sensible, nicest,intelligent and generous posters on here with so many experiences that we can all learn from and I always look forward to reading your posts with the knowledge you bring to the site.

This site would be massively poorer without you and we would all massively miss you.

I hope you can put aside what was at the very least a very unfortunate and inaccurate comment aimed at you because it’s perfectly obvious that you’re held in the highest esteem by 99% of the posters on here.

Thanks for comments Ed and Nine. I am too old now to be concerned with abuse like this from a social platform. I am aware people get a kick out of abusing people from the keyboard but my lifespean is at its end game and I do not want or need it. I think you have a hard job keeping it under constant review and we should all be thankful you give so much time to it. However, there does come a point whereby it becomes apparent that it is not possible to communicate with people like this. I am not perfect but I do like to be fair, pragmatic and not personal with all my posts. I leave you with some sadness but life goes on and wish you all well and keep safe.

Thanks for the suggestion Nine but I would not want to return and restrict myself to City, the point of the forum is we would be free to discuss any subject. It is not the subject at fault but kind of response which was uncalled for. I really feel I cannot contribute any further and accept further abuse, like I said, at my age, I want to enjoy what I have left

Brian-You are spot on about not tolerating abuse,especially age considered and the currnt circumstances the world is in.But,just try and ignore those comments that are spiteful and offensive.As for politics,money,and religion-they are there only to cause problems and divisions.Lets get back to talking SEX,drugs,rock n roll,and footy.
