Songman might as well be referencing to Van Der Berg, Kelleher or Henderson for all we know, I doubt he has met a Brentford fan in real life.

24th May 2026 at 6:57 pm #246972we lost 0.58 points in every game compared to last season, from 2.16 per game to 1.58 per game. We went out early of the league cup, we lost to our rivals City without a hope against them in the quarter finals of the FA cup, then again we never had any hope against PSG. Who totally outplayed us while Slot forfeited the first game with his battle plan and then denied doing so. Then the lads go on holiday and somehow limp into the Champions League because of favors from other teams. I expect him to be sacked after this game, he did not even try to go for the win somehow.

24th May 2026 at 6:59 pm #246974“Klopp finished 5th, not 4th, in 2024”
Correction, it was 2023 when he finished 5th

24th May 2026 at 7:40 pm #246976Bingo, that conversation we had about how many points we would achieve when we were on 50 feels like an age. We have screw up after screw up after screw up.
We are a mid-table team for sure. Chelsea are worse than us and all the other teams that were worse than us managed to either beat us or get a result.
It’s a miracle we are in the Champions League for next season.

24th May 2026 at 8:51 pm #246981Nothing will change with slot in charge. Ill have zero optimism going into new season with him in charge no matter who we sign .
So many problems to list. Amount of goals we concede. Its just shocking and nothing will change.

25th May 2026 at 12:29 am #246985Arne, the Academy to First Team had a very clear 433 blueprint under Klopp/Pep. What’s yours two years in?

25th May 2026 at 8:50 am #247006I just cant get over how stupid the club are being. Its inevitable what is going to happen. He is fucking deluded and clueless. So disconnected from the fans, players etc
He just annoys me now. Talking shite.
We are fucked with him in charge. Absolutely no optimism going into next season
Id say writz be gone by the summer aswellhim
And isak will go down as two of the most expensive flops pl has seen if this manager stays.Ill actually write isak off now. Made of glass. He wont be good for us.

25th May 2026 at 9:12 am #247011Sean, you’ve laid those thoughts perfectly mate, 100%
Unless I missed something yesterday, he’s lost the connection with the Supporters. Midtable quality, even less. I can’t believe for the life of me we finished 5th. This is one of the worse Liverpool Teams I’ve seen since Hodgson.
Nobody it seems is playing for him. Players have left and more will follow for sure.
I’ve got to the point where I am resenting our Directors. Millions of Millions spent on players and no Trophy to show. Very Poor from us.

25th May 2026 at 11:22 am #247037Thing I’ve been saying for a while Sean, is the club has a model. A model that defines roles, defines responsibilities. Edwards and Hughes are the ones that decide if they fire Slot or not, but currently they both have just over a year left. So what makes them motivated in making any long term decisions? Life is probably easier for them to just continue to back their guy.
Could argue that the club goes above Edwards for the decision then, but then that causes issues with the model. You are basically screwing it up and chucking it in the bin, not exactly a good advertisment for a future DoF or whatever.
Sadly we have landed in a perfect storm of shite, with Slot and the two people immediately above him all needing to be replaced at once. If they do that it will cause chaos and instablity at the club.
So we are basically fucked whatever happens, unless Micky and Dicky swallow their pride and do something decent one last time for the club.
And no transfer will make any big difference, I think most of you know this, just the occasional idiot that harps on about individuals.

25th May 2026 at 12:37 pm #247050So Slot just sat there with the rest of the staff while Robbo and Salah said their goodbyes, he did not join them or try to connect with the fans that stayed behind.

25th May 2026 at 1:49 pm #2470543ps, I for one did not enjoy them being stood with Rush and Dalglish yesterday. It does seem like tone def and heads buried in the sand. I’d go as far as arrogance.
This is one screw up in essence. We’ve been accepting in understanding to a reasonable level as supporters with all the mitigating circumstances (with justification) that’s taken place.

25th May 2026 at 1:55 pm #247055Bingo, it was one unusual precedent. You’d think in ordinarily, your Boss would be the one of the standouts in greeting a farewell. There’s a mutual vibe between you, but I didn’t see that.
Take Pep and Bernardo Silva for instance; there was an emotional connection.
Even with Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard over 10 years ago, there was a mutual respect and Gerrard had some nice farewell words to say. I don’t think in general neither Robbo or Mo are big on speeches, and we clearly didn’t hear anything coming from you know who.

25th May 2026 at 2:03 pm #247056You donΒ΄t even need to do it for them, you need to do it for yourself and give the fans the appreciation they deserve! This is the first head coach I have ever seen at the club not celebrating the fans at the end of the season. No thanks for the support or nothing, he just went into hiding. I find it very particular as this might be his last game as well! He should know that this could be his last game as well and he does nothing for the fans.

25th May 2026 at 2:21 pm #247059It’s a stark contrast to last season. There was lots more warmth and a feeling of inclusion and somebody that was committed to the whole environment. Now it seems the total opposite. E.g. the number of times a flight back ‘home’.
There is no way on the evidence of this season including yesterday this man is in for the long haul. It could well be agreed mutually that he leaves once we do find a Replacement.

25th May 2026 at 2:58 pm #247062Do I want Slot as Manager come August? Definitely not. However, I think whatever he did post-game yesterday would be a ‘damned if he did / damned if he didn’t’ scenario. If he’d walked around applauding the stands himself, I’m sure there would be have been some sort of significant negative vibes against him from some which would have soured the event as a farewell / thank you to the club legends that are definitely going and maybe also a number of undisclosed loyal servants that we won’t see again. Maybe keeping himself out of the limelight was a wise and pragmatic decision for all.

25th May 2026 at 3:19 pm #247064Red I agree in a way with you but I donΒ΄t think the stands would have had a negative response to him going out there, trying to humble himself a little bit, especially with the whole day being about Robbo and Salah in a way. Even Henderson got to have his lap of honor, I miss him and his leadership qualities, he was really up for it and wanted that European finish for Brentford but as soon as the match was over he switched over and joined in with Salah and Robbo. Van Dijk also laid out there on the field for 20 minutes alone.
Ask yourself what any other manager or head coach of ours has done in the past at the end of the season! He was happy basking in the glory last season but not ready to meet the fans on our off season. It says a lot about his character.
I canΒ΄t name a single manager or head coach that has not gone out there on the last day of the season at Anfield to thank the fans for their support. Cause not every fan at Anfield wants him out just yet! There is still a big proportion that has supported him through thick and thin this season.
He did not have to make it about himself but just going the rounds, having a small chat with the players, thanking the fans again and then leave and leave it to the lads that are leaving.
I find it weak from Arne Slot. Normally we would be hearing a rallying cry from Klopp, how we need to focus up and work harder, the only thing Slot talks about is the market and how he can buy himself out of trouble. While he ignores half the squad!

25th May 2026 at 3:32 pm #247066how isolated Slot is there should tell us how close he is with his squad, he is not out there giving a single hug and this season end is way more emotional than the last one, this season has been way more emotional than the last one. Slot has failed in every category of reaching his squad and having their respect. IΒ΄m thanking Henderson for showing up in the tunnel ahead of SalahΒ΄s walkout there. He knows how hard this is, he is there to back up his former team mates, while our head coach goes into hiding.
I donΒ΄t even think Gakpo likes him anymore as he has turned Gakpo into a rather useless forward, he is having his worst season ever this season and he should have started delivering actually. He got 51 games and only scored 9 goals in all competitions, his future at the World Cup is not certain as he has been shit all year.
Gakpo had his faults for sure but he has never been this exposed! We know both our left backs side with Salah against Slot, we know Jones sides with him, there are 13 players that have liked that post and you can pretend that post is not directed at Slot but it is. That is half the squad, I think the only major one that has not liked the post is Van Dijk and we can see him sitting out there for 20 minutes alone regretting his decision.

25th May 2026 at 3:35 pm #247068Ekitike is out there on crutches and Slot is nowhere to be seen! IΒ΄m sorry for the comparison but Klopp would have been out there as his crutch.
