Most of the time Bournemouth plays 4-2-3-1 formation. That means once again Amad have to take care of defensive duties this time against Semenyo.This experiment need to be stopped in January. Munoz from Palace is a perfect wingback.

Not going to happen mate. He’s 30 in May. Besides, he’s contracted to Palace until 2028 so would take decent coin to buy him. He’s also injured and getting to that age where he’ll be injured more often. Don’t get me wrong, I like him, but it ain’t going to happen.

We shouldn’t be signing any player who’s over 27 years age for big money, that’s got to be a given now. If Munoz or any other near 30 year old was out of contract I could maybe go with a 2 year plus 1 option, but other than that it has to be a complete non starter, simple as that.

Well something has to be done regarding Amad being a wingback tracking back as his first duties. Munoz looks like an 19 year old who can run for ages. He is everywhere on the pitch. A question, who’s gonna play on the right wing for Mbuemo, Amad and Mazraoui during AFCON? A wingback must be brought in ASAP. The only option I can see is to let Yoro play as a wingback. He might be better there than in cb because as cb he has no positional awareness at all!

Completely agree mate but Amorim’s far too arrogant and stubborn to even think of it. I would much rather we play with proper full backs and wingers, but until the guy gets the boot it’s never going to happen, simple as that.

Amad gets a lot of freedom playing at RWB, not sure he would be as effective further up the pitch. He’s got skills but he’s not the quickest and does struggle to get past defenders. Long term I don’t believe he would make it as a world class winger.

Jumpers-what are you on, mate? Freedom when playing wingback? Freedom to run home you mean,no he is forced to track back. Amad is not a defender by a country mile. I’ve seen him dropping off quite a bit and tracking home is not helping him either. So we need a proper right wingback in 1st January. A pacy wingback with a good stamina, attributes Amad don’t possesses.

I agree with you completely Jumpers, Amad is a yard short of pace and does struggle to beat a man on pace alone. Not sure what his best position is but he’s not the best defender, so not a position with the word ‘back’ in it.

Amad should play as the winger higher up while the other guy is away. That is his position and where he should be.

Amad doesn’t get a game if it’s not at RWB. He’s not getting Bruno’s position in the midfield 2 and when all are fit it’s (or you would expect considering the money paid) Cunha, Sesko & Mbeumo up top. So he’s our sub then or we change formation but again in a 433 it would still be the same top 3, 2 midfield enforcers and Bruno. Where else you would you regularly play him?
Maybe it’s time we cash in while he has value and use it for someone like Rogers who can make a real difference.
