Right, fulcrum im not gonna talk about my past too much, but i swear to you ive had more scraps and backed my boys up than probably anybody on this site. Im sure you boys had it easy growing up in the 60s, 70s and 80s.. given my ethnic background, We were pretty much on the poverty line and it wasnt easy. All we had was each others backs… some of us served time for next to nothing… i remember me and another mate jumping into a fight when ONE of my boys was getting jumped by about 16 men with bats and crowbars… took one hell of a beating, was crying for days(actually can still feel the pain today)… i will leave it at that! So im not gonna say “my dicks bigger than yours”, however never underestimate the power of stupidity.. it takes one “PUNCH” or kick to kill someone or do serious harm, ive seen it with my own eyes.
I believe we live in a better world, more tolerant, access to better education, aint perfect(lost respect for elders and seniors) but at least we have carpets, central heating and double glazing(we take things for granted), be fucked if i had to get up in the morning to light up the fireplace… ease of access to knowledge… and array of food places, sky sports and all the entertainment in the world! So aint gonna moan…

BTW I wanna say I am a little bit disappointed that the lads did not kick back at Martinelli, nobody would stamp or try to throw one of our players if Henderson or Milner were here. I´m very disappointed with Van Dijk, he should have made a fuzz out of that scenario and blown the whole game up. When Gomez got introduced I wanted him to make a mean tackle just to make a point but nothing happened! It´s not good enough leadership from Van Dijk!!!

A good leader is there to defuse any volatile situation which I think VvD did. No use having more players suspended. Lot of talk about this incident but some of the suggested actions by our team belong on the playground not a football pitch full of highly paid and trained athletes in a multimillion pound industry.
Too many on here letting their emotions do the talking, that shouldn’t be how it works in modern day football.

Isak of course missed the game through injury, but I thought he influenced the game about as much as fellow Swedish striker Gyökeres! Some on here have said how great he is.
The biggest positive was I actually enjoyed the 2nd half, not often had that this season. I thought there was a chance coming despite actually not testing the keeper. It wa better than recently but still much to improve.
Two totally different games coming up fast. Games probably against styles we struggle with.

Maybe one thing thats missing from the team was on show last night in Bradley incident and pointed to issue…bite! We have none, many have said this previous about the losses of 50/50’s.
To use 3ps analogy of the playground, today’s playground is full of health
and safely with bubble wrapped seat and posts, and safe spaces, where’s the playground was far much more full when there was risk….and disagreements were had._____________________________

3ps, 4:48, sensible as always mate. This site/forum is shed loads better and the playground stuff etc can be left elsewhere.
I fully get principles, and values etc, but as mentioned, we would be dealing with something else this morning and guaranteed, there would be “he shouldn’t have fought back” etc.

Well, Happy Friday indeed and what a RESULT!
Champions v Champions Elect. Considering all the baggage we brought in before kick off, we pulled off a decent result we can use hopefully now as a Springboard.
Just disappointed in not signing a new face. Maybe that can still happen.
Let’s treat the next game like this game and send out the right message.

Moonster, kerkes and bradley really add a bit of bote. They are tenacious and well up for a battke. Others lack their effort and work rate

It wasnt any of you boys, Its in the past, you forgive and move on… lifes too short to be dwelling on the negatives of the past. Those are things that define you as a person btw… theres lessons to be learnt, hopefully for the better!
Weve become a lot more tolerant to race, religion, sexuality, etc. you only have to go back to the late 80s when fans were throwing bananas at barnes… and here we are today.. players and managers from all over the world.. making the premier league the best and exciting league in the world!

Guys, I think link up play overall improved like the players that train with each other actually showed they’re familiar!!!
Bradley and Frimpong working well. Frimpong just needs to be a bit more decisive on the final ball, but he needs players to make those runs in the 6 yard area and shout for the ball.
We need our Strikers back soon. A breather at Anfield Monday Night in the Cup, but I’m sure Barnsley wont be there just to make up the numbers.
