Seriously Zico, I don’t think I’ve ever said Malacia was our best defender and if I did, I’ve no doubt I was being sarcastic. I remember saying when he first joined that I’d read that he wasn’t a party animal, that he preferred to stay home and read, that he was an incredibly hard worker in training and that, from that point of view, he was exactly the kind of player we needed to be looking at. Again though, hindsight is 20:20.
All I know is I’ve never rated di Zerbi and Brighton were never that great under him. Very hit and miss, tended to go on streaks of wins and losses, not much has changed which doesn’t speak well for him, they’re still exactly the same under Hürzeler. So if di Zerbi is a great coach, so is Hürzeler_____________________________

News about Enrique wanting a new challenge seems to be legit … they better pull all the stops to get him… Tactically he is a great manager, he improves his players and gives opportunities to young players who deserve it, and he demands 101% from all his players (Zero tolerance for lazying about)
It should be Enrique at the top of the list..

As I recall, Ole wanted both Ronaldo and Sancho. He was also the one that brought Maguire in at 80 odd million. He also started this culture where all the players were referred to by a nickname. For me, he’s a bit of a brown tonguing halfwit of a manager. Please, not again.

Yeah a lot of revisionism around Ole’s tenure. Don’t think he’d be bad for a few months but at the end it was a complete shitshow with players running riot. In fairness, he did push for Haaland and Rice but Sancho and Maguire were major fuck ups at the price. Whoever comes in as caretaker better play a back 4 and have the balls to rotate and drop all players. Sick of the constant favouritism under Amorim regardless of results. Hopefully now we’ll finally cash in on Bruno and get the midfield sorted for the future.
