gj, “I can somewhat understand why he had the hump given what was aimed at him in it which was a bit uneccessary imo.” I wasn’t defending him but he was attacked and mocked in the film so knowing him as we all do there was always going to be a reaction.

In fairness to City though they didn’t make the film or edit what was recorded or what was included from elsewhere.

If I was a City fan I wouldn’t be so fixated on everything Mourinho says we all know he can be a prize plum at times but you’re miles in front of United as a team and I can’t see them getting near you anytime soon.

I hear what you’re saying Nine but like I said, don’t dish it if you can’t take it.
Been a City fan for nigh on fifty years and for a large part had to take plenty of stick, so it’s now a bit of ‘payback’ as far as I’m concerned – and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

If there was more decorum shown by the top brass at these clubs, perhaps they’d be less traffic generated by these reactions. I seem
to remember Fergie brandishing City a small club some years ago (whilst attacking Benitez for referring to Everton in the same terms). Even when City got taken over, I think Fergie remarked that “there they are (City), still languishing in mid table”. Fans don’t forget these things.

That’s a good book that nine. Interestingly i think Shindler initially said he had fallen out of love with City whem they got taken over and found new found wealth. I wonder if he thinks the same now?

Jose can be a prize plum. But do you blame him for retaliating? He has practically not said a word about City since joining United, yet all they have shown is disrespect towards him and Manchester United. You release a documentary after having a spectacular season, yet you still cannot stop talking about your neighbors. This is the same club who bought confetti to Old Trafford last season in order to celebrate a win. United won the league at City’s ground in 2007 and walked off the pitch without overly celebrating. No confetti or loud music.

So in this aspect Jose is bang on the money. Lack of class certainly by City.

The veil digs during the documentary, the confetti at Old Trafford last season, the petty 2-1 signs from various players in the tunnel after the win. If you want to go further back, how about the welcome to Manchester sign, your CEO saying when and not if we beat Manchester United during the league cup semi final all those years ago, lets not forget the degrading Munich mocking chants by your fans. I see they have gone quiet since the new ownership.

I also read up that during this 8 part documentary, Manchester United or anything related to the club are mentioned every 3 minutes and 20 seconds, whilst City are said every 2 minutes and 40 seconds. That is a 40 second difference of mentioning your own club and your rivals.

Not sure if that is accurate, but blimey that is obsession if it is true. I am going to be honest, if that is true then it sums things up. It shows the level you need United to endorse yourselves even when United are at their lowest in years. I mean this whole documentary has been endorsed on what Pep/City said about United and Jose. It is like your PR team needed that just to get people to watch it as you could not do it on your own.

You need to be very careful what you say, pal, especially about the Munich chants. I’ve not heard anything about that for at least thirty years, and I go to every home game and a lot of away games.
