@Dee I think Madrid dropped the ball there. Rodri is exactly what they need but they were being difficult over the transfer fee, so Barca have stepped in. However being that it’s Barca and United are the only club in the world run worse that they are I am not sure they’ll be able to find the money for him and his wages so he could end up at Madrid or PSG I think

The Trafford deal just highlights the level of cheating City are willing to do in plain sight. It’s pretty much evident in every single deal they do – they just bung the fuck out of everyone involved so they can show the transfer “value” on their books.
It goes all the way back to when they bought Mangala for £32m but then later said it was actually £42m through intermediaries.

I read that Vivell wants Kone but that others aren’t convinced. In another paragraph of morning bullshit, I read that Carrick has called off the third midfielder to concentrate on other areas. There’s one consistent element in these stories though, and that’s that all the links seem to be with bargain basement type players. While everyone else is being linked with big names, we’re shopping at fucking Primark. There’s not one exciting link out there.

Dee, Whilst I agree with your sentiments regarding the Trafford deal. The main difference is he’s moving from a “successful club with a World Class no1” not from a club that’s been a basket case for nearly a decade!
As someone said, other clubs know we’re trying to get rid of players on inflated salaries or are basically shit. Hence why we get fuck all for them_____________________________

@JM-The more i think about it the more i’m convinced they have to bring in another midfielder. Imagine Santos gets injured early. That would leave Mainoo as the sitter alongside Tielemans for 4 competitions. Would be madness. Mount is never a midfielder and they know it. He’d get overrun in the PL. I think they’ll add Berge late in the window.

Agree entirely N1xer. I hope Santos and Tielemans work out but neither would have been my picks, for different reasons. But yeah, we need an engine in there and we still haven’t got one. I see other clubs buying these young French and African midfielders and wonder why the fuck we couldn’t have found one to do our leg work. As for Mainoo, I just don’t see him as a starter mate. We have Bruno as our playmaker, so we need two solid, energetic, combative types behind him and Mainoo is not that type. I’d settle for Kone but I suspect the third midfielder will be Mount.

Like i said a week ago it feels like our transfer business is done.
Amass and Lacey promoted, Rashford back. Zirkzee staying. All a bit depressing but hopefully Tielemans can add some flare in midfield with the legs of Santos.
Carrick will have to hope Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko have a much more consistent season. Amad too!_____________________________

Like i said before .. the fat man can be the back up Striker to Sesko as he is useless on the right flank; for Amad i dont see any improvement in his game play and there is no bite when he has the ball at his feet.
Carrick loves Mainoo so he is nailed to have one of the starting CEnter midfield spot and bruno takes the attacking midfield spot leaving just one spot available in center midfield. Mainoo as the holding midfielder will never work so that means Santos to partner either Mainoo or Tielemans at center midfield.
