I think Ineos will completely overhaul the team but it won’t happen over the next two transfer windows.
I heard somewhere that they’re taking an analytics approach to it.
The first was to improve the forward line, and as we weren’t converting enough chances the previous season. This season we’ve been much better in that department.
The next area of the team they’re focusing on is midfield. The problem is that also that firstly the fullback area need improvement and another centre back
The question is do they invest heavily and buy three top midfielders and maybe one defensive player this summer and then go big the following summer on the defensive area of the team.
If our four centre backs were able to play most weeks I think they leave it but we all know they aren’t.
It’ll be interesting to see how many players we sign who go straight into the first team

That Arsenal article was just straight B.S they had planned in advance to rely on set piece and be dirty cheaters with the league favoring them? As for it was obvious Pep needs to go just like how he ran away from Bayern when it became obvious he can’t coach or handle a team of proper young players.

Also that post about Ineos using analytics is just also not accurate because then their analytics should have shown Mbeumo’s poor conversion rate while he was at Brentford.

It’s in the Spanish media too this morning. Saying Blacky’s mate Joao Gomes is off to Atletico and we’re in for Ederson. I am not a fan at all. Looks like another Fred to me. He’ll be 27 in July and still at a second tier Italian team. Has to be a reason for that. Not for me.

Tonali i like but dont think that’ll happen. After watching Anderson on the wkd, the one thing he has that we need is energy and a bit of pace to get around the pitch. I think that is something we need badly. Saying that, i’d stick the gaff on him ending up at Citeh.

THey’ve had a year to plan to get the midfield sorted. With CL football on offer and finishing third, they’ve no excuses. I am far from confident they’ll get it right but will reserve judgement.
