are you talking to me? I don’t critique everything you say, just what I don’t agree with. However I do think that signing a 29 year old to a 5 year deal is madness

3rd September 2026 at 2:18 pm #255662Oh do get a grip you absolute weapon, they were never going to give anyone even 250k per week nowadays never mind 350k, that’s just pure fucking spin. The biggest problem with the Tielemans deal is that by the end of his contract we’ll still be paying a near 35 year old 200k per week when the chances are he will be completely out of the picture by then.
We need to learn the lessons of the Sanchez, Casemiro and Eriksen etc deals and stop giving players on their last legs big contracts because we invariably end up regretting it, simple as that.
And as for my criticism of the way the club is run please enlighten us all as to just what we’ve done right these last 20 years since the gimps and Ratshit have been calling the shots!_____________________________

3rd September 2026 at 2:31 pm #255667The whole issue with the Teileman signing is that the only reason we signed with was because we discovered he had a decent buy out clause. Thereβs absolutely no way weβd have gone for him otherwise. Not saying heβs a bad player or anything but itβs just the lack of forward thinking I donβt get. Also many on here are saying that Bruno will obviously play the 10 role and Teileman will replace him for some games. Perhaps but personally I donβt see Carrick having the balls to rest Bruno (who wants to start and play every game).

3rd September 2026 at 2:39 pm #255670That’s it, he was never on the list of potential signings until his agent told them that they could get him for 35 mill, but the cost of the overall deal is still 85 million quid plus team bonuses for a guy who will be 30 years old before this season ends. Anyone who tries to spin that as ‘great business’ is away with the fucking fairies.

3rd September 2026 at 2:47 pm #255672I think happy was having a go at me, which is fine. And no happy, I certainly donβt get tired of slagging off the club and will continue to do so as long as it keeps fucking up. Well fucking up in my opinion that is.

3rd September 2026 at 2:51 pm #255675Agree Diggy, Carrick will play Bruno every week, maybe not in the Caribao Cup, but certainly PL and CL, because he knows weβre so reliant on him.

3rd September 2026 at 2:52 pm #255676Sangare is 24 years old, cost 39 million and will be on way less than 100k per week at Brentford. Now that’s what you call good business.

3rd September 2026 at 2:58 pm #255679Yeah that is a good piece of business by Brentford. I quite liked Farke’s remarks at the weekend that Keith Andrews is heading up the most exciting project in the Premier League and i do tend to agree.
Yeah i was replying to you JM…

3rd September 2026 at 3:04 pm #255680Until the whole club is stripped and replaced from top to bottom; nothing will change.
Regardless of the obvious @happy will continue to always see things the way he wants; he is the same person who is still excited about Mason Mount just like Carrick.

3rd September 2026 at 4:57 pm #255689Looking at this positively Tielemans is a good player and will have joined us expecting to be a first team regular. It’s the first time in years we have 4 players (Bruno, Mainoo, Tielemans and Baleba) who expect to start and are then backed up by Santos. If 4 of the 5 can do the business for the next 3/4 years then it will be money well spent. On the flip side I agree with most that has been posted, it’s a big season for Baleba and Carrick needs to manage him correctly.

3rd September 2026 at 5:31 pm #255690It’s a big season for the whole midfield, there may be four or five of them but they all need to push each other for starting slots. Everyone talks up Mainoo but if he’s been pushed out of the starting lineup by someone come next summer, then he should be sold and there’d be no shortage of offers either I reckon

3rd September 2026 at 6:07 pm #255692That was looking at it positively but a lot has to go in our favour for it to happen. For example, Bruno’s playing time needs to be managed, players not performing need to be dropped and most of them need to improve.
What’s the chances of that happening?

3rd September 2026 at 6:18 pm #255694@happy – The thing you so glibly call “the programme” is actually the fucking truth.
Still waiting for you to explain how you can describe it as anything else after 20 years of gimp ownership, and 2 years of Ratshit and his goons mismanaging everything they fucking touch._____________________________

3rd September 2026 at 6:40 pm #255697Apparently Everton offered Β£10m loan fee and to cover Zirkzee’s wages in full and we said no. The mind boggles, he’ll play 10 games if he’s lucky. He’s basically going to cost us Β£1m per game plus wages if I’m right.

3rd September 2026 at 7:05 pm #255699id be interested to hear who you’d all have in our midfield. jM, blacky, Dee, etc…
the reason I ask is a few posters have put bruno in our midfield even though he’s never anywhere near that area of the pitch unless it’s by accident.
that being said, would you guys play with a 2 or a 3, and who would they be?

3rd September 2026 at 7:20 pm #255700Bob, Iβve always said Iβd have two holding, but mobile and capable of box-to-box type work, in front of the back four. Sangare, Baleba type players. Away from home, Bruno in a three in front of them with one up front. At home Iβd go 4-2-1-3 with Bruno as the one.

3rd September 2026 at 7:46 pm #255703@Englishbob β¦ exactly as @jm stated .. with how porous the defence can be it definitely has to be 2 mobile players in midfield with Bruno as the No.10
Personally i would have gone for L.Camara of Monaco, Alex Scott and Sangare. These players are athletic and good on the ball. I donβt mind Baleba but not for 70M.

3rd September 2026 at 8:29 pm #255704With the team as it is right now, I’d go:
Lammens
Mazraoui – Maguire – Martinez – Shaw
Baleba – Mainoo
Mbuemo – FernΓ‘ndes – Cunha
SeskoThe fact that 2 of our 3 new signings don’t get into the first team is just shameful
